At World of Animals at Elkins Park, we strive to provide preventive care to make sure your pet stays well and avoids any unnecessary medical emergencies. Dogs or cats can become infected with a parasite at any point in their life and at World of Animals at Elkins Park we will perform an annual fecal examination as a part of a thorough preventive health program. Routine physical examinations, vaccinations and communication between you and your veterinarian will help to prevent problems before they start.

World of Animals at Elkins Park is open 7 days a week, including week night hours till 7 pm and Saturday and Sunday hours. World of Animals, Inc. is proud to announce the re-opening of our boarding kennel at our Huntingdon Valley location. Our renovations are complete both indoors and out, with some new amenities to keep your pet happy and healthy while you’re away. Transportation from our Elkins Park hospital to our kennel is available on Mondays and Fridays. Come take a tour and anytime!

Dr. Sandra J. Platt is a graduate of the Oberlin College, Harvard Divinity School and most recently, the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Since graduating, Dr. Platt has received advanced training in dentistry, soft tissue surgery and acupuncture. She enjoys the many challenges veterinary medicine provides and telling her dog and small herd of cats about them at the end of the day! In her free time, Dr. Platt enjoys long strolls through urban, and less urban, settings with her dog; gluten-free cooking and spending time with family.

Dr Kameneva started her professional veterinary career as a certified anesthesia technician at the University of Pennsylvania's Veterinary Hospital. she went onto complete her education and received her
Veterinary Medical .Doctorate from the. University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, Philadelphia PA. Following was her Emergency and Internal Medicine Internship Training - Angel Memorial, Boston MA and Surgical Specialty Internship Training - Center for Animal Referral and Emergency Services, Oxford Valley PA. She is the Chief Medical Director for all four World of Animals Veterinary Hospitals and spends time at each location. She lives with a Siamese cat named Sushi and a mixed breed dog named Ace.
