Whitehouse Veterinary Hospital is a full service small animal, avian and exotic hospital. We are committed to providing quality veterinary care throughout the life of your pet. Our services and facilities are designed to assist in routine preventive care for young, healthy pets; early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages; and complete medical and surgical care as necessary during his or her lifetime.




We understand the special role your pet plays in your family and we are dedicated to becoming your partner in your pet's health care. We treat your pet as we would our own. Our goal is to practice the highest quality medicine and surgery with compassion and an emphasis on client education. Our entire healthcare team is committed to providing personal attention to the unique concerns of each individual pet owner.

Dr. Kirk Reese
Dr. Kirk Reese

Dr. Kirk Reese



Dr. Reese was born and raised in New Orleans and graduated from L S U Veterinary School in 1993 where he was at the top of his class. He also worked at the New Orleans zoo and the Henry Doorley Zoo in Omaha, NE. He moved to Texas in 1995 and began working at Caldwell Zoo here in Tyler. In 1999 he became an associate here at Whitehouse and eventually bought the practice in 2003. Dr. Reese also attends 20-30 hours of continuing education each year to keep current on advances in veterinary medicine, including new treatments, diseases and surgical techniques. He currently has 2 dogs a Labrador, Bailey and an English Mastiff, Eugene. We also have a leopard gecko, Liz that is our hospital pet. He is married and has 2 twin teenagers and 2 grown children.

Dr. Sara Beth Redding
Dr. Sara Beth Redding

Dr. Sara Beth Redding was raised in Calhoun, LA, and knew since she was a little girl that her dream was to become a veterinarian. She has a passion and love for animals that makes her a wonderful asset to our team. Dr. Redding attended Louisiana Tech for her undergraduate school, and then attended St. George University to complete veterinary school, getting excellent scores in her program. After completing veterinary school she furthered her experience with clinical routines at Louisiana State University making amazing scores. Dr. Redding moved to east Texas once veterinary school was completed with her babies, Ruby her schnoodle, and Bam-Bam her bunny. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, baking, and taking Ruby shopping. So the next time you’re at Whitehouse Veterinary Hospital, be sure to give her a warm welcome!

Dr. Janice Petree
Dr. Janice Petree

Dr. Janice Petree is has been our relief veterinarian for the past four years. Dr. Petree is a 1997 graduate of Texas A&M, and enjoys her work in small animal medicine, especially internal medicine, cardiology and ophthalmology. She lives in Longview, where she grew up, with her husband Terry and daughters Renee and Rachel. They have a dachsund, 2 Rhodesian Ridgebacks, 4 cats and 1 fish. In the small amount of free time she has she enjoys volunteering with the Girl Scouts, P.T.A. and Junior Achievement.
