At Village Vet of Urbana, we provide concierge veterinary services in the Urbana, Ijamsville, Buckeystown, and Green Valley areas. You can bring your furry family member to our vet clinic for exceptional care from whiskers to wagging tails. Our office is staffed with compassionate and knowledgeable professionals who will be able to assist you with anything your pet needs. Bios
Dr. Debra Sapcariu
Dr. Debra Sapcariu
Dr. Debra Sapcariu is a lifelong Maryland resident who grew up in Montgomery County and graduated from Springbrook High School. She is a graduate of the University of Delaware (BA Biology) and New York State College of Veterinary Medicine. She brings to Village Vet of Urbana 23 years of experience in small animal practice in Gaithersburg. Dr. Debra enjoys working with her patients and their families and guiding them through all life stages. She enjoys community outreach and educating children by speaking to students about veterinary medicine.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Debra enjoys the outdoors, hiking, and photography. She actively volunteers with Montgomery County 4-H, the Agricultural Fair, and the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition. She lives in Clarksburg, Maryland with her daughter Anna and their pets: Oakley and Delaney (dogs), Sprout and Noggin (cats), Oswald the guinea pig, and their newest addition, Aspen, a Jersey calf.

Karen Johnson
Karen Johnson got her bachelor’s degree from State University New York in business shortly before joining the Germantown Veterinary Clinic staff in 1998. As part of the Global View Capital management team for over 15 years, she is proud of the role she played in helping Global View Capital grow to be one of the most well respected, best equipped and well-staffed animal hospitals in Montgomery County. Karen is excited to take her experience and knowledge in animal hospital management, and love of all things furry, to Village Vet of Urbana.
Karen also enjoys a busy life away from Village Vet as mom to 3 very active children and President of Oakdale Elementary School Parent teacher Association. She has 2 dogs and 1 cat. She looks forward to meeting new families and pets in Frederick County.
Dr. Lucy Tidd
Dr. Lucy Tidd
Dr. Lucy Tidd is a graduate of Cornell University (BS Animal Science) and Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine. She currently sits on the Alumni Board for the latter institution. Dr. Tidd has a special interest in internal medicine, and she enjoys challenging medical and surgical cases.
Dr. Tidd enjoys a busy home life as well—she has a son named Aidan, two dogs, and two cats. She is also an avid equestrian and has won many national and world titles in dressage.
