Dr. Knieper is the newest member of our team at VCA Orchard Plaza. She grew up in Texas and attended veterinary school at Cornell University in upstate New York before relocating to the favorable climate of the Bay Area. She enjoys seeing cats and dogs, taking pride in the fact her days are spent improving the lives of her patients, from excited puppies to cranky geriatric cats.
Dr. Knieper shares her home with two cats, Figaro and Dot, that she rescued as tiny feral kittens. In her free time, she volunteers with local organizations to provide veterinary care to feral cats and the pets of the homeless. Dr. Knieper also enjoys cycling, rock climbing, gardening and baking.

Dr. Seward graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1998 and joined the team at VCA Orchard Plaza Animal Hospital in 2003. She has a special interest in exotics (birds, reptiles, small mammals) but enjoys dogs and cats too! Dr. Seward says the best part of being a veterinarian is the thankful kisses from her patients. She enjoys the variety and excitement everyday brings and appreciates that her day is never boring!
In her spare time she sews kilts, practices Scottish Country Dancing, and spends time with her husband and two young children. Together they enjoy bird watching, leisurely walks, and boogie boarding.
Ask about her variety of pets the next time you see her!

Prior to becoming a veterinarian, Dr. Wong had been involved in research projects studying humpback whales and sea otters. These experiences helped focus her critical thinking skills and strengthened her interest in veterinary medicine.
Dr. Wong received her veterinary degree from Washington State University, during which she completed an externship in Sydney, Australia. After graduation, she completed an Internship Program before joining VCA Orchard Plaza Animal Hospital. She has been with us for over 20 years, working everyday to improve the lives and health of her patients and their caregivers.
When she is away from work, she enjoys spending time with her family, cycling, skiing, gardening, cooking (and eating too!) and is a member of a bell choir.
