Dr. Peterson
Dr. Peterson

Medical Director
DVM, Washington State University

Dr. Peterson has been working with animals from a young age. When he was 6 years old, his family moved to a farm. Working with horses, cattle and family pets molded his early interest in veterinary medicine. He has also, from the age of 15, had experience working with race horses. Dr. Peterson’s favorite aspect of working in Pet Care is the chance to pursue the thought-provoking cases, such as detailed internal medicine, and has a special interest in Critical Care/Emergency, Endoscopy and Ultrasound. Dr. Peterson graduated from Washington’s State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988.

Dr. John Kuhn

Associate Veterinarian
DVM, Washington State University

Dr. John Kuhn has been working in the veterinary field since 1992. He graduated from veterinary school in 2002 and worked in Medford Oregon for three years until coming to work at VCA North Division Animal Hospital in 2005. since. Dr. John brings knowledge and experience to our team, not only is he an upbeat person to work with but he is a very easy doctor to talk to and understand.

Dr. Julie Sowa

Associate Veterinarian
DVM, Colorado State University

Dr. Sowa enjoys the challenge of health care in pets and helping animals live comfortable and rewarding lives. She enjoys the continual learning that veterinary medicine offers. Dr. Sowa has practiced veterinary medicine for nearly 10 years, with certification in Acupuncture and veterinary chiropractic. Emergency and critical care are also of interest to her.

She is passionate about integrative medicine, and enjoys combining the best of conventional veterinary and alternative medicine in order to provide options for the patient. Dr. Sowa likes all breeds of dog, but is especially fond of the American Staffordshire Terrier. At home, Dr. Sowa has her son, one horse and one dog.

Dr. Tanner Ross

Associate Veterinarian
DVM, Washington State University

Dr. Tanner Ross grew up caring for animals on his family's cattle ranch in Wyoming. After attaining his undergraduate degree in animal Science at the university of Idaho, he went on to attend the WSU veterinary college and graduated Spring of 2010. He came to work as a member of our team shortly thereafter. He finds it a great place to work and learn with a helpful, compassionate staff and caring clientele. His pets include horses, dogs, goats, chickens, ducks and a parrot.
