Dr. Chris Tsai
Dr. Chris Tsai

Dr. Chris Tsai grew up in the Washington D.C. area and went on to receive his undergraduate biology degree at U.C. Berkeley. He received his veterinary degree at the University of Pennsylvania in June 2003 and practiced two years at a veterinary hospital in the Philadelphia area before joining McClave Veterinary Hospital in 2005. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and has special interest in surgery, internal medicine and oncology. During his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities, eating and spending time with his family - his wife, their two sons, Carter and Connor, and their dogs, Sadie and Maddie

Angela Yank, DVM

Dr. Angela Yank earned her Biomedical Science degree from Texas A&M in 2002. She then went on to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M 2005.

Dr. Yank was born and raised in Dallas, TX. After earning her DVM, she worked for 1 year in Sachse, TX in a mixed animal practice. In July of 2006, Dr. Yank relocated to North County, San Diego. She joined the VCA North Coast team in August of 2006.

Dr. Yank's family consists of 2 cats - Jackson, 8 years old and Lela, 2 years old.

Special Interests: Dr. Yank also works at Rancho Coastal Humane Society in her spare time helping strays and homeless pets get the care and medical attention they need.

Dr. Trott received his undergraduate biology degree from Loyola Marymount University and then went on the receive his veterinary degree from Colorado State. After veterinary school Dr. Trott participated in a year long internship in general medicine and surgery at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital of
San Diego. Dr. Trotts professional interests are in in emergency medicine and
surgery. Dr. Trott has two pets a Labrador named Holden, and a Siamese mix named Big Daddy Vladdy. Dr Trott's hobbies include surfing, ice hockey, scuba diving, cooking, and gardening.

Dr. Nealy Shvil is a San Diego native and grew up in Carlsbad. Dr. Shvil received her undergraduate degree at the University of California San Diego then attended veterinary school at the University of California Davis followed by a year long small animal rotating internship in Sonoma County. Dr. Shvil�s professional interests include internal medicine and emergency medicine. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and cat Finley.

Katy Allen, DVM

Dr. Allen grew up in England, where she received her Bachelors Degree in Mathematics. On moving to California, she attended UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, earning her DVM in 1989. Since then, Dr. Allen has practiced small animal medicine all over San Diego County, and has been working for VCA at various hospitals since 2005. Dr. Allen can also be heard on K.P.B.S. radio from time to time giving her expert advice on various aspects of pet care. When not working, Dr. Allen has one daughter, one dog, one horse and three cats to keep her busy.
