Lucas McFarland
Lucas McFarland

Associate Veterinarian
Veterinary School: Oklahoma State University

Dr. McFarland was raised in Wagoner, Oklahoma graduating from Wagoner High School. He attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated with a Bachelor in Health and Sports Science. He then went on to Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma graduating in 2004 with a DVM from the College of Veterinary Medicine.

After graduation, Dr. McFarland began practicing medicine at a small animal clinic in Wichita Falls, Texas. He became an associate at Kickingbird Animal Clinic in July 2005. Dr. McFarland and his wife, Christy, are the proud parents of twin 1-year-old daughters. They share their home with their black Labrador named Jeter.

Veterinary School: Oklahoma State University

Dr. Mee was raised in Edmond, Oklahoma graduating from Edmond Memorial High School. She attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology. She then went on to Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma graduating in 2009 with a DVM from the College of Veterinary Medicine.

She became an associate at Kickingbird Animal Clinic in July 2009. In her free time, Dr. Mee enjoys spending time with family, friends and her Dachshunds - Lily, Izzy, Pretzel & Riley.

Tracei Holder

Medical Director
Veterinary School: University of Missouri

Dr. Holder was raised in Moore, Oklahoma. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a B.S. in Zoology. After working for Marion Laboratories in cardiovascular pharmacology research, she attended veterinary school at the University of Missouri, graduating in 1995. Dr. Holder then completed a one year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Auburn University before beginning work in general practice. Her veterinary career started at New Hope Animal Hospital in Rogers, AR. From there, life took her to Champaign, IL where she worked for the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Animal Poison Control Center as well as co-founded the Animal Emergency Clinic of Champaign County. Next stop was Kalamazoo, MI where she worked for the Southwest Michigan Animal Emergency Center and Referral Hospital at nights and the Kalamazoo Animal Hospital during the days. Following yet another move, Dr. Holder worked for VCA All Critters Animal Hospital in Sammamish, WA. Life then presented opportunity for her to return home to Oklahoma in late 2010. Dr. Holder was initially part of the team at VCA Woodland Central Animal Hospital in Tulsa before joining the wonderful staff at Kickingbird in May 2012. Dr. Holder currently lives in Stillwater with her husband Keith and new dog Blanche. They enjoy hiking, fly-fishing, and spending time with family. We are very excited to have Dr. Holder a part of our medical team!

Nicole Griffith
Nicole Griffith

Dr. Nicole Griffith became a part of our team in 2013. She received a Bachelor of Science (Veterinary Medical Technology) in 2004 from Wilson College, PA. She graduated in 2013 with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University. Before returning to school for her veterinary degree, she worked in emergency medicine for four years as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) at the University of Georgia in the ICU and Oncology department. She was accepted into the veterinary program at St. George’s University in Grenada West Indies and transferred to Oklahoma State University in 2010. We had the pleasure of hosting her here during her preceptorship and we knew then that she would be a wonderful addition to our team.

She and her husband Jeremy have a well-rounded furry family of their own. They have 4 dogs, Zuri, Finnegan, Angus, Murdoc, Sparky, Muster, Tonka, and Digger (a Mali uromastyx reptile).

Katie McClain

DVM, Associate Veterinarian

Dr. McClain graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences from Purdue University. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, also from Purdue University, in 2014. She has volunteered and traveled around the world. She is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana, but we welcome her to Edmond. Dr. McClain�s special interests include emergency medicine, preventative medicine and surgery, and dentistry. She has enriched and improved our team so much already, due to her dedication to her clients and patients. She is always willing to go above and beyond to do what is necessary. She is a fabulous teacher, always willing to explain her methods and encourages everyone around her to be excited about learning. Her clients are like family - she cares for each and every patient and advocates for the best care possible. In her free time, Dr. McClain likes to spend time with her husband, Andrew, who is also an equine veterinarian, and their 1 year old son, Wiley. The McClain�s also have a few four legged (and three legged) kids including a St. Bernard, Bella, Baylee a Labrador retriever, and cat, Izzy.
