Why I do what I do:
Veterinary medicine has always been a passion of mine even from the time I was very young. Being with small mammals brings me incredible joy. Alternative medicine was the icing on the cake after having a Golden Retriever, Miami, live an extra year with the help of acupuncture. I am honored and grateful to be an integral member of the family at VCA Animal Healing Center to have the opportunity to work with exceptional staff, clients, and pets every day!
BS in Animal Science and VMD from Univ. of Pennsylvania in 1990.Took ivas acupuncture certification course.
Why I do what I do:
My name is Dr. Elana Braz. I have been at the VCA Animal Healing Center since February 2002. I have been enjoying expanding my knowledge of holistic medicine at this practice and observing the special connections between the animals and their owners. I am a certified Reiki Master, and I enjoy any form of energy healing.
Dr. Amber earned her bachelor's degree in Animal Science from Cornell University and her veterinary degree form Mississippi State University in 2010. She enjoys spending time with her husband, her 2 dogs Dublin and Moxie, and her cat Fiv.
Why I do what I do:
I have always loved animals and knew from a young age that a career as a veterinarian would be a perfect fit for me! Because I enjoy science and constantly learning new things veterinary medicine is a great fit. I love learning about alternative medicine and using both a conventional and alternative approach to help animals (and their owners)! I also really enjoy working with the wonderful Veterinarians, Technicians, and Receptionists at the Animal Healing Center.
Hi There, I am Dr. Madhu Munthala. I have been practicing small animal veterinary medicine since 2007 and I recently joined the team of Veterinarians at VCA Animal Healing Center.
I believe veterinary medicine is a very emotionally rewarding profession and I am blessed to be a part of it. I love the fact that I get to help and play a role in promoting the wellbeing and alleviating the illnesses of innocent animals who cant speak for themselves. I love getting to know the parents and the special bonds that I develop with the pet family is a bonus. My special interests are in Internal medicine, Radiology and alternative treatment modalities. Apart from my conventional training, I am also trained as an Acupuncturist by the Chi institute, Fl and I believe it came as a calling for me to enter into the beautiful world of Integrative Medicine where the eventual goal is quality of life and I am thrilled that I get to practice such kind of medicine at VCA Animal Healing Center. I am very excited to be a part of the team and work alongside the compassionate and skillful staff. I look forward to my vibrant journey with the staff, the pets and the pet parents.
