Beth Pellegrini
Beth Pellegrini

Medical Director
Dvm, Cornell University

Dr. Pellegrini attended Cornell University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and graduated magna cum laude with distinction in research in 2001. She published a research article on canine oculo-skeletal dysplasia, a genetic disease in dogs that affects the joints and eyes, in 2001. Dr. Pellegrini graduated from the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She joined Abbott Animal Hospital in 2005 and became medical director in 2010. Dr. Pellegrini’s special interests include surgery and dentistry. Dr. Pellegrini shares her home with her chocolate lab named Emma and 3 cats.

Annie Wang D.V.M.

Associate Veterinarian
Dvm, Cornell University

Dr. Wang attended Tufts University for her undergraduate study, majoring in Biology, and graduated summa cum laude. She spent 1 year abroad studying biology at Oxford University, England, and worked at Cotswold Wildlife Park during that time. She then attended Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine where she was a coordinator for the Southside Community Center Healthy Pet Clinic, which provided fee-reduced veterinary care for people with financial need. After veterinary school, she completed a one-year small animal medicine and surgery internship at Vca Shore Animal Hospital, South Weymouth, MA. She has a strong interest in ophthalmology and has published an article on orbital abscess in the journal, Veterinary Ophthalmology. She enjoys playing the flute and piano, and speaks Mandarin.

Kathryn Tuxbury

Iowa State University

Dr. Tuxbury attended graduate school at Iowa State University prior to veterinary school, receiving her MS degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. She then attended Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2005. After veterinary school she completed a one-year small animal medicine and surgery internship at New England Animal Medical Center in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts. She then completed a two-year internship in exotic and aquatic animal medicine and surgery at the National Aquarium in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Tuxbury has been practicing at Vca Abbott Animal Hospital since 2009. She has strong interests in internal medicine and exotic animal medicine, including work with reptiles, amphibians, birds, and small mammals. Dr. Tuxbury also helps out in the Department of Animal Care at Mystic Aquarium & Institute for Exploration in Connecticut and serves as a consultant for the National Aquarium.
