Dr. Jill Whitwell graduated from Texas A&M Veterinary School in 1990. After completing an internship at the West Los Angeles Veterinary Medical Group in Los Angeles, Dr. Whitwell returned to Dallas to start working in private practice. After 3 years, she discovered a passion for veterinary emergency and critical care and joined the team at the North Texas Emergency Pet Clinic. She spent the next 23 years at that practice and has treated many patients from Timber Valley Pet Hospital as emergencies. In September 2016, Dr. Whitwell decided it was time to return to daytime hours and joined Dr. Gray as a full-time associate here at Timber Valley. In addition to critical care, her special interests include soft tissue surgery and ultrasound.
Dr. Whitwell shares her home with her husband Jim and her kids Sammi, Taylor, and Matthew. The current pack of pets include dogs Gator, Cynnamin, and Purp as well as cats Rocket, Freya, Spot, and Midnight.
