The Cat Practice was founded in 1972 and is the first exclusively feline practice in the nation. Our mission is to provide our feline friends with the finest quality medical and surgical attention and their owners with the best communication possible. The Cat Practice was designed with the comfort of our patients in mind. We are located in a lovely space in the heart of Manhattan's Flatiron district.
We also offer cat-only boarding, seven days a week.
Please call us to schedule an appointment!
Our technicians have been specially selected and trained. You can be assured that they are sensitive, intelligent, cat lovers. You will also note our attention to detail. All sick or injured cats are housed in specially constructed wooden nooks which each have their own sleeping shelf, light and heat source, and their own air systems which are exhausted outside the building.
This goes a long way toward preventing cross contagion. Your cat will also appreciate the lack of noisy dogs, pesky parrots or sullen wombats. We take pride in the excellent caliber of medicine, which has been practiced here for over 35 years. We also are proud of our communication skills and the effort we extend toward our clients and patients.
The Cat Practice has a full boarding facility located in the back of our hospital with spacious cages. All cats admitted to board with us are up to date with vaccinations and are examined to ensure they are healthy to protect our Feline population. Cats who want to are given a chance to come out of their cages and have exercise or play time. We pride ourselves on the level of care that boarders receive here. We even have a bird movie that entertains the kitties during their stay.
The Cat Practice also has a separate section for medical and diabetic boarders (those kitties requiring medication and/or insulin). These kitties are housed in specially constructed wooden nooks that have their own exhaust systems to prevent cross-contagion. You can feel confident that our staff will provide excellent care for your cat weather it is on medication or just here while you are on vacation. The Cat Practice allows visiting hours as well as phone calls to check in on your favorite feline. Kitties here always get catnip, very clean cages, cat beds, lots of love, and very close monitoring of their health and happiness. Book early for certain holidays such as July 4th, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
