Suburban Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary clinic, capable of providing any medical or surgical treatments necessary for the well being of your cat or dog. We focus on providing wellness care and preventive medicine for all life stages.
Our staff of experienced veterinarians have a variety of interests including internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. Our caring staff of licensed veterinary technicians, animal care assistants, kennel attendants and client service representatives are available to assist you with any questions you may have.

Dr. Carolyn Fisher is the hospital director of Suburban Animal Hospital. A general practitioner, Dr. Fisher has cared for pets here since 1997. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and particularly likes observing and experiencing the special bonds that people and their pets share.
A native of Rochester, Dr. Fisher attended the State University of New York at Geneseo. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Biology in 1993 and went on to attend the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. While she was there she was employed in the clinical pathology laboratory and active in several student organizations. She was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1997.
Dr. Fisher is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Genessee Valley Veterinary Medical Association and the Cornell Feline Health Center.
Dr. Fisher currently resides in the Rochester area with her cats Sebastian and Garfield, a Standard Poodle named Jacques and a guinea pig named Charlotte. When she's not busy with her duties at the hospital, she can be found outside gardening or playing the flute with the community orchestra, as well as spending time with her family.
Originally from Portland, CT, Dr. Kathleen Hall has cared for pets at Suburban Animal Hospital as a general practitioner since 1988. Prior to coming to Suburban Animal Hospital, she practiced medicine at Stone Ridge Veterinary Hospital from 1985 to 1988.
Dr. Hall received her Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science from Cornell University in 1982. She continued her veterinary education at the New York State College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. Dr. Hall then completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery from 1984-1985 at the New Haven Central Hospital in New Haven, CT.
Acupuncture and herbal medicine are among Dr. Hall's many professional interests. She is certified in veterinary acupuncture by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society and certified in veterinary Chinese herbal medicine by the Chi Institute and the China National Society of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Hall is a member of the Genessee Valley Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society and the American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncturists.
Outside the hospital, she most enjoys spending her free time with her family and her pets, cats Merry and Zippy and a Boxer named Echo. Reading, quilting and spending time outdoors are also among her hobbies.
