Here at South Shore Animal Hospital, an AAHA-accredited veterinary facility, we are conveniently open seven days a week so that we can be available should an emergency arise. Please call to make an appointment that is convenient for you. Of course, if you have an emergency, just come right in.

South Shore Animal Hospital has been serving the Staten Island community for over 20 years. In addition to Emergency & Critical Care and a specialty in pet ophthalmology, our veterinary hospital provides top quality medical services, wellness exams, preventative care, vaccines, diagnostic services, spays, neuters, dental procedures, and soft tissue surgeries. Please call to make an appointment that is convenient for you, please know we also accept walk-in emergencies.

At South Shore Animal Hospital we are proud to be members of The American Animal Hospital Association. This means we are voluntarily inspected in over 1,000 criteria, including continuing education, medical record-keeping, pain management, diagnostic equipment, surgery, dentistry and facility safety, to name just a few evaluated areas.

To support you and your new furry friend, South Animal Hospital is offering clients (and new clients) a complimentary exam for any pet that has been adopted from the Animal Care and Control of New York, the Babylon Shelter, or the Islip Shelter.

Feel free to ask any questions that you may have about the health and well-being of your new pet. We are here to help both you and your pet have a smooth transition into his or her forever home.
