I am a true Midwesterner at heart and was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. I received my B.S. degree in Animals Science at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Go Tigers!
After graduation, my passion for animals led me to the St. Louis Zoo where I became a primate keeper, caring for monkeys, lemurs, and tamarins. While I have always had a love for animals, it was during this experience where I discovered my passion for medicine. I found the best of both worlds at the University of Missouri-College of Veterinary Medicine where I received my DVM degree, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
After graduation I moved to Arizona and completed a rigorous 1 year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA Animal Referral and Emergency Center in Mesa. After my internship I joined the staff at Goodyear Animal Hospital in 2010 where I developed special interests in preventative medicine, internal medicine, and emergency and critical care. In July 2015 I joined the staff to open Sarival Animal Hospital.
My husband and I have a special place in our hearts for all smooshed face breeds and in turn share our household with three crazy Boston terriers, Teegan, Evie, and Georgia and a Pug named B.B. In addition to the four dogs, we have two handsome cats named Smokey Joseph and Merlin.
In my time away from work, I can be found at the gym, reading, discovering the beauties of Arizona, and cheering on my St. Louis Cardinals and Blues as well as my Mizzou Tigers!
I was born in Liverpool, UK, and graduated from the University of Liverpool with a bachelor's of veterinary science degree in 2010. I then went on to complete my Ecfvg certificate and the Navle shortly after. After 5 years in a busy Liverpool small animal practice, my wife and I moved to Arizona in October 2015 with our two rescue cats, Jet and Cocco. My interests include small animal internal medicine and medical oncology. In our spare time we are enjoying discovering all that Arizona, and the USA has to offer.read more
I originally hail from Tonawanda, NY (just outside of Buffalo) and bleed red, blue, and gold for our sports teams (Bills and Sabres). I attended State University of New York, Geneseo (between Buffalo and Rochester) where I received my B.A. in Chemistry in 2012. Shortly after I attended Ross University in St. Kitts for veterinary school and finished my clinical year rotations at Texas A&M, graduating in September 2016.
I met my beautiful wife in veterinary school and we decided to move to Arizona where she was born and raised. Outside of veterinary medicine I love sports, music, reading, and spending time with family.
I grew up in Boise, Idaho, and obtained my undergraduate degree at University of Idaho in 2010. I completed my post graduate studies at Washington State University, graduating in 2014.
As an undergraduate, I spent many hours working as a kennel assistant and customer service representative in an animal hospital. After graduation I worked as a Veterinarian for 3 years in Eastern, Washington, before moving to Arizona. As a part of the AZ Pet Vet family, my special interests include surgery, dentistry, and preventative medicine. Every day I learn something new that helps pet patients live longer, healthier lives.
Life at home includes my beautiful kitty, Margie, who is blind. Shes 7 years old, and simply loves snuggling and treats, but not necessarily in that order. My hobbies include enjoying the outdoors, hiking, traveling and cooking and baking. I hope to meet you and your beautiful pets soon!
