Dr Rod Pierson is a graduate of the college of veterinary medicine at Michigan State University and has been practicing in Davison since 1966. He and his wife Darlene have four adult children and eighteen + grandchildren. They reside on thirty acres of the family farm in Goodrich. Dr Pierson’s special interests are internal medicine, managing geriatric patients, and dermatology, including the management of allergy patients. He especially enjoys long term relationships with clients and has worked with four generations of several local families and considers them among his friends.read more
Dr. Angela Lusty is a 2012 graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. She grew up on a small farm in Goodrich, where she now lives with her horse (Charity), her cat (Kudos), and her dog (Tilly). Her special interests include the use of preventative medicine to increase the lifespan of pets, and managing geriatric pets. Dr. Lusty is currently helping the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association on a program that helps train new graduating veterinarians in leadership and communication skills. In her free time Dr. Lusty plays the piano and organ for the choir at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Davison. She also enjoys running and riding her horse.read more
Dr. Ahrens graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1985 and has practiced general companion animal medicine since. He and his wife Judy, together have 6 children, the youngest, Madison is a 2018 graduate of Clio High School. At home there are 6 cats and 2 dogs, they also enjoy their 3 grandchildren. Dr. Ahrens enjoys soft tissue and orthopedic surgery as well as general medicine and preventative care. Dr. Ahrens believes that establishing long term relationships with clients and patients brings gratitude to daily practice. “As veterinarians, we are an integral part of the lives of families as they consider their pets family members more than ever before.” Away from practice, Dr. Ahrens enjoys his newest hobby of keeping honeybees and spending time with his family and gardening.read more
