The veterinarians here at Parkview Cat Clinic are highly skilled in diagnosis and are knowledgeable about the most advanced and best treatment methods available for your cat.
"Dr. Grant" Gugisberg, a St. Paul native, is a 1991 graduate of the University of Minnesota - College of Veterinary Medicine. He lectures nationwide on feline health and behavior topics in shelter cats for American Humane, Petfinder.com and Petco Foundation and has participated on national roundtable discussions regarding Feline upper respiratory tract infections.
Clinical interests are internal medicine, upper respiratory disease and whole life behavioral issues. As part of his practice he operates a referral cat behavior service doing both in clinic and in home consultations.
Dr. Grant lives his wife Heidi, 3 cats (Oskar, Mr. Peabody, and Chester), a Labrador named Nigel and 20 laying hens. Activities include hockey, travel, cooking, fishing and gardening including vegetables, dahlias and gladiolus.
Dr. Gugisberg is a member of the AVMA, MVMA, Fellow of the AAFP and past member of the St. Croix Animal Shelter Animal Care Committee.
Dr. Elizabeth Fenske grew up in central Minnesota and received her undergraduate degree from the College of Saint Benedict. She then pursued a Master's degree in Rhetoric but eventually decided to follow her childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian. She graduated from the University of Minnesota's College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Fenske is a cat person through and through. She enjoys all aspects of feline medicine but has a particular interest in dentistry, pain management, geriatric medicine and complex cases. She is a member of the AVMA, MVMA and AAFP. Dr. Fenske and her husband, Hans, share their home with two great cats, "Hey Jude" and "Georgie Boy" and a fish named "Simon the Bait." Outside the clinic, Dr. Fenske enjoys horses, trying new recipes and challenging her body condition score with ice-cream and chocolate.read more
Dr. Alyssa Caligaris is our newest addition to the Parkview veterinary staff. She received her Bachelor of Science from The University of Cincinnati, where she grew up. She started working with Parkview during veterinary school, graduating from The University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. Dr. Caligaris loves absolutely everything about feline medicine, with particular interests in behavior and geriatric care. At home, she is usually found with a cup of tea on the couch with her two cats, named Felix and Louis. She and her husband, John, also enjoy traveling and trying new restaurants.
