Description

Dr. Nancy Flanagin and the staff at Ortonville Animal Hospital welcome you to visit our website and our hospital itself. We are a full service veterinary hospital for dogs and cats, providing compassionate, high quality wellness care from puppy and kittenhood until the geriatric years.

Because we would like you to enjoy your healthy pet for years to come, we emphasize prevention of disease through regular vaccinations, parasite prevention and routine laboratory testing. All is available from our in-house x ray and diagnostic equipment, or through external laboratories. We also have a surgical suite, state of the art dental equipment, and full pharmacy in house.

We also routinely care for sick or injured pets during those daytime emergencies of the animal world. Don't hesitate to call if your pet is ill, we make every effort to examine and treat sick patients as soon as possible.

Dr. Nancy Flanagin

I have lived my entire life in Michigan. I graduated from the University of Michigan in 1988 with a BA in Communications and spent several years as an advertising executive in Flint and Detroit. Later I went back to college and obtained my DVM from Michigan State University in 1998, and I've been practicing in Oakland and Genesee Counties ever since. I started out in day practice, then spent over seven years as an emergency veterinarian. I bought Ortonville Animal Hospital in February 2012. I enjoy the quietness of a small town practice, and still see enough emergency work to keep me on my toes!

My philosophy is to offer medical care to animals at the best of my ability, experience and training, as well as educate you, the owner, so you can make informed decisions for these family members. My staff is experienced in medical care as well as the day to day handling of animals, and we are all willing to discuss topics from hyperadrenocorticism to housetraining!
