Julie Bergeron, DVM
Julie Bergeron, DVM

Dr. Bergeron has been with New England Veterinary Clinic since 2002. She grew up in Washington State and currently resides in Lynn, Massachusetts. She received both her undergraduate and DVM degrees from Washington State University. Since graduating from vet school in 1993, Dr. Bergeron has practiced at several hospitals in Massachusetts before joining us here.

Dr. Bergeron's interests within veterinary medicine include pocket pets and soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. She is a true asset to the New England Veterinary Clinic's team, providing outstanding care to all of her patients and their families. Outside of work Dr. Bergeron likes to hike, spend time at the beach, and enjoy outdoor activities with her three young children. Her family also includes three dogs and two cats.

Micaela Mackie, BVMS
Micaela Mackie, BVMS

Dr. Micaela Mackie grew up in central Massachusetts and currently resides in Salem. She received an undergraduate degree from The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts and earned a BVMS degree from the University of Glasgow in Scotland. Prior to joining the New England Veterinary Clinic & Pet Resort team, Dr. Mackie practiced in southern New Hampshire. Her special interests include diagnostic imaging and internal medicine.

In her spare time, Dr. Mackie enjoys traveling, writing, and spending time with family and friends. She also cares for a mischievous lykoi cat at home.

Ashley Gallagher, DVM - Chief Of Staff
Ashley Gallagher, DVM - Chief Of Staff

Dr. Ashley Gallagher, our Chief of Staff, grew up and currently resides in Marblehead, Massachusetts. She received an undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and earned a DVM degree from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to joining the New England Veterinary Clinic & Pet Resort’s team, Dr. Gallagher practiced at Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington, DC. Her special interests include surgery, preventive medicine, and behavior.

Dr. Gallagher created Polite Puppy, a manners and wellness care class for puppy owners. She believes that starting owners off on the right "paw" goes a long way in building a lasting bond with the owner and providing the best medicine for our patients. Dr. Gallagher is an advocate of the Fear Free movement and hopes to bring many of these techniques to the practice. She also shares her home with an amazing labradoodle, named Frank.
