James P. Doman, VMD

Hi, I am Dr. James Doman. I am a Lancaster County native; I grew up in Lancaster City and graduated from Millersville University and the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. I joined the Nvc team in 1976. My special interests include dentistry, cancer treatment, allergy treatment and “pocket” pets like rabbits, ferrets and guinea pigs.

My wife, Dawn, and I have 2 married children; 1 miniature Dachshund – “Daphne”, and a Ragdoll-Himalayan mix – “Quincy”. To keep healthy and in shape, I swim laps at the Ymca. In my spare time I enjoy spending time in our yard and garden, volunteering for our church, and golfing.

Andrew C. Sloyer, DVM

Hello, I am Dr. Andrew Sloyer. After graduating from Franklin and Marshall and the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, I practiced in Gilbertsville, PA. I started at Neffsville Veterinary Clinic in May 2000. I see patients on a daily basis and have special interests and additional training in dermatology and orthopedic surgery. I lead our team in orthopedic surgery. We do the tibial tuberosity advancement for dogs with anterior cruciate ligament disease, especially dogs over 60 pounds. We are seeing excellent results with dogs returning to normal function more quickly. We continue to perform the lateral suture technique for small and medium dogs for repair of ruptured anterior cruciate ligament. When I am not helping our patients, my wife Kristina and our two sons, Clark and William enjoy spending time on our family farm. We have Isabelle, our terrier and three cats, Franklin, Lucy and Trevor.

Dr. Colleen Carney DVM

Hello, my name is Dr. Colleen Carney, and I am a native of Wisconsin. I am a Badger to the core, having attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison for both my undergraduate and veterinary degrees.

Upon graduating, I began work at a small animal practice in Kenosha, Wisconsin where I grew up. A few years ago I met my fianc?, a Pennsylvania native, through a mutual friend. He is now managing a large dairy farm in Chester county, and I am looking forward to relocating to the area.

I thoroughly enjoy general practice and the variety of cases and people it has allowed me to work with. My favorite challenges include internal medicine, ultrasound and soft tissue surgery. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, cooking and recently have taken to trying my hand at playing guitar.
