We are a small animal clinic that specializes in honesty, customer service and a great work ethic. Our staff is extremely friendly and personable. Many of our clients are on a first name basis with us and we enjoy living up to the title of another family member. Our special interests are in dentistry, surgery, and exotics, but we are equally accomplished in diagnosing difficult medical cases as well.
We would love to be your new veterinary hospital, so please give us a call and see what a small, family owned veterinary hospital can teach you about your pet.
Dr. Michael Georgiades was born in New Jersey, but has lived in different locations in Europe, including Paris, France and Holland, and in the United States, including Baton Rouge, Kansas City, Virginia, and West Virginia.
After graduating from high school at the American School of Paris, Dr. Georgiades attended Virginia Tech for his undergraduate studies and then Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, from which he graduated in 1994. His first job was in Charleston, West Virginia where he spent 3-1/2 years fine tuning his veterinary knowledge and learning about exotics. He also met his wife, Rebecca, a native of Cleveland, Ohio in West Virginia. They married there in September of 1996.
In September of 1997, the Georgiades moved to the Denver area, where Dr. Georgiades took a job with Elmfield Veterinary Center. After 2-1/2 years, he decided that opening his own practice was in his family's best interest, and in December of 1999, Just For Paws Veterinary Hospital was born.
Dr. Georgiades has six children. Matthew was born to Michael and Becky on November 6, 1998, Nathaniel was born September 1, 2000, Nicholas arrived June 23,2003, and Zachary, the most recent addition, was born March 15, 2007. The other 2 kids are of the canine/reptile persuasion. Murph is a Pit Bull-Boxer-Shep mix born in October of 2018. He was a foster puppy brought to Dr. Georgiades' clinic by one of his nurses. The Georgiades and Just For Paws family just fell in love with him and decided to adopt him in March of 2019. Bonnie is a snake who was found on the streets of Evergreen. She is a sweet Ball Python who enjoys curing up on people's necks and when really happy, pooping on their shirts.
Dr. Georgiades belongs to several associations including AVMA, AAHA, and most recently celebrated being an AAHA-facility for the past 20 years. He is currently interested weight training, home remodeling, and flag football and has in the past participated in rugby, volleyball, and bodybuilding.
