I grew up on a farm in Pennsylvania where animals were a large part of my life. However it wasn't until high school that I decided I wanted to be a Veterinarian. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree from Penn State University in 1989 and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois in 1993. Very early in my veterinary school days I realized that, although horses are what brought me into this profession, dogs and cats are my passion to treat as a veterinarian.

After graduation I married, moved to Arlington and in May of 1994, I found my home here at Jason-Little Road Animal Clinic. Being able to help you and your pets brings me fulfillment every day. I value most the relationships we have built over the years and look forward to the new ones to come.

I am a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Texas Veterinary Medical Association and Tarrant County Veterinary Medical Association. I also am very proud to have Jason-Little Road Animal Clinic be certified as an American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) hospital. Maintaining this distinction and level of practice is very important to me.

My personal life includes a wonderful husband, Wayne and five children, Nicole, Thomas, Gavin, Dakota, and Serenity; two dogs, Cagney and Logan; two cats, Zack and Charlotte; and Jasmine my horse. In my free time I love reading, riding, and taking care of my family. The clinic is my pride and joy and I am blessed to have such wonderful staff members and clients. Thank you for being a part of my family here in Texas.

When I was growing up in Alabama, I was inspired to become a veterinarian, and pursued my dream at Auburn University, earning a Bachelor of Science and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1978. I moved to Texas soon after graduation, and have been associated with our clinic since its inception in 1980. I really enjoy doing surgery at our clinic and working part time. I am grateful that every day we get to celebrate the wonderful relationship between companion pets and their owners.

I have a son and four pets. My dog Abby is a young Sheltie that just graduated from obedience school, and our cats are named Bob and Bittie. Our newest addition is a Boston Terrier pup named Mike. My hobbies are reading, swimming, cycling, and walking my dogs.

I enjoy being active in my profession, having served as a past officer in the Tarrant County Veterinary Medical Association and past board member of the Airport Freeway Animal Emergency Clinic. I maintain active memberships in our state and national professional associations and enjoy pursuing continuing education through these groups. I feel lucky to be a part of a wonderful profession that allows me to help pets and their owners

Margaret Thompson, DVM is serving in Tanzania for Food for His Children. This organization provides dairy goats to families along with training on how to care for the animals. Once the program is established successfully in a community, schools and medical care is also established. We miss Dr. Thompson, however, she is living her gift of service to others.

My best friend Mittens, a grey tabby, inspired me to become a Veterinarian around the age of nine. Mittens was a fighter and needed care for his wounds regularly. I began working at a Veterinary Hospital in high school to begin the path to fulfill my dream of becoming a Veterinarian.

I graduated from Texas A&M University with my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 1994. I have held several positions as an Associate Veterinarian and also worked as a research Veterinarian in Charleston, South Carolina. I arrived at Jason-Little Road Animal Clinic in July of 2000. It's the best place I've worked in my 15 plus years as a Veterinarian.

My husband Curtis and I live in Azle with our wonderful 4-legged family. The dogs - Daisy, Stubbs, Rufus, Maggie and the cats - William Wallace, Rory, and Ibo are the sunshine rays of our life. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, my friends, and especially my little brother Ryan from Big Brothers Big Sisters.
