Not only do we provide excellent pet health care and pet surgical services, we also offer pet boarding and play days at our beautiful, Hill Country facility. Four Paws has a warm, compassionate staff that will love your pets like they were their own and an environment that feels more like a home than a trip to the veterinarian.
Come visit us to meet our friendly staff and tour our bright, clean, and airy facilities.
We provide a full range of services, including internal medicine, dental health care, surgical services, pet vaccination programs, boarding, and pain management to ensure your pet’s quality of life.
We understand that in order to keep your pet healthy and happy, you need more than just someone who administers vaccinations. You need a partner in determining what is the best health care for your pet. Through our wellness programs and our wide range of health care options, we offer the latest technological advances in veterinary care.
Our services include:
Preventive health care
Puppy & kitten health care
Spaying & neutering
Senior pet care
In-house prescription refills
Oral & dental health care
In-house & commercial lab services
In addition, we understand that sometimes a specialist in a specific field of veterinary care is needed, and that’s why we work closely with board-certified facilities. We offer referral services when appropriate.
Your pet’s health is just as important as your own. We know you want the best care possible for your pet, and our staff is here to provide just that. We are always available to address your questions and concerns
Our Doctors & Staff
Dr. Lisa Okonsky, Veterinarian and Co-Owner
Dr. Okonsky started in the veterinary field at the age of 14, cleaning kennels for a local veterinarian in Connecticut. After holding just about every position in a veterinary hospital, she graduated with her Dvm in 1992 from the University of Wisconsin.
After graduation, Dr. Okonsky completed an internship at the Animal Hospital of Pittsford in Rochester, New York. She then relocated to Virginia Beach, Virginia, and finally to Austin in 1998. After working at a local small animal practice where she met Dr. Kleypas, the two opened Four Paws at Four Points in 2001.
Dr. Okonsky’s areas of interest include internal medicine and preventive medicine. She is a member of the Capital Area Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Okonsky is married and has three little boys. Her free time is spent with them.
Dr. Martha Kleypas, Veterinarian and Co-Owner
Dr. Kleypas has been working in the veterinary field since 1984 and practicing veterinary medicine since 1995. Since completing her studies, she has enjoyed working as a small animal veterinarian in Austin, including practice in an all-feline hospital and emergency services. In 2001, she and Dr. Okonsky founded Four Paws at Four Points with the philosophy of offering excellent patient and client services.
Her interests include oral medicine and surgery, preventive medicine, soft tissue surgery, and practice management.
Dr. Kleypas’ personal interests include reading, scuba diving, enjoying Austin’s plentiful outdoor activities, such as local 5K funruns (especially with her daughter Lily and super Chihuahua-mix dog Roxie), yoga, snow skiing, and cake decorating. She volunteers regularly with schools in the community and nonprofit organizations such as Girlstart.
Dr. Kleypas earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas at Austin and also holds a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University.
She is a member of the Capital Area Veterinary Medical Association, Texas Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Dental Society.
