Our professional staff strives to care for your pet in the most thorough and compassionate manner possible.
We emphasize preventive medicine and client education. We offer a full complement of routine Western veterinary services and holistic treatments.
Acupuncture and Herbal Treatments: We offer acupuncture and herbal treatments as adjunct treatments for healing.
Rehabilitation therapy, Spinal Manipulation Therapy, and Laser treatments: For acute and chronic muscle or joint injuries.
Preventive Medicine: Health examinations, vaccinations, heart worm testing, blood and urine analysis as well an E.C.G. are recommended annually.
Routine Surgeries: We perform all routine procedures and most as out-patient procedures so that the patient returns home the same day.
Genetic testing: For mixed breeds to determine their heritage.
Vaccination titers: To determine if vaccinations are needed annually.
Allergy and SensitivityTesting: Testing for chronic scratching and licking due to allergies
Dental Care: Prophylactic cleaning, polishing, and preventive care.
Radiology and Ultrasound: We provide soft tissue and orthopedic diagnostics.
O.F.A. and Penn Hip screening. Penn Hip screening is an accurate determination if there is hip joint laxity which leads to hip dysplasia.
Behavior Counseling: We address puppy and kitten adaptation problems and adult behavior problems.
Nutrition Counseling: We carry a variety of natural and prescription diets. Our knowledgeable staff can help you with nutrition questions.
Microchip Identification: To reduce the chance of losing your pet, we offer Microchip implants.
Grooming for both dogs and cats.
Dr. Jill graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Veterinary Medicine. She finished her masters and residency in 1981 and is board-eligible in small animal surgery.
Dr. Jill has a special interest in orthopedics
and lamenesses. Her emphasis is on thorough orthopedic exams and treating the cause of the pain not just giving pain medications.
She has training in acupuncture, food therapy, and herbal therapy from the Chi Institute for Traditional Chinese Veterinary
Medicine. She is certified in acupuncture and herbal therapy.
In 1984 Dr. Jill started Care Animal Clinic to provide quality companion animal medicine, surgery, dentistry and preventive medicine.
Dr. Jill has volunteered for numerous organizations: Raptor Rehabilitation Center, Elmbrook Humane Society,
Orangutan Foundation, Jane Goodall Institute, Crane Foundation, MVMA spay-neuter program at the State Fair, Literacy Council, Polar Bears Alive, Delta Society for pet therapy and Barefoot Beach Preserve.
She has served on the Milwaukee Veterinary Medical Board and served as secretary-treasurer as well as vice president and
president. Dr. Kusba was also an adjunct professor in Physiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Dr. Kusba is a member of the A.V.M.A., W.V.M.A., A.A.H.A. and Holistic Veterinary Medicine Association, the International
Academy of Pain Management and American Association of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Linda Olson graduated from the
University of Wisconsin-Madison School
of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. She is a
native of Brookfield and is a graduate of
Brookfield East High School.
Dr. Linda starting off her veterinary career
here at Care Animal Clinic 14 years ago as
a veterinary assistant.
Since graduating from Veterinary School,
she has been in general small animal
practice and at the University finishing her
Masters of Science degree with an emphasis
Dr. Linda’s special interests are in internal
medicine, ultrasound, integrated
treatments and wellness programs for dogs
Dr. Olson is a member of the Avma, WVMA
Dr. Patchett’s special interests are in, Veterinary Spinal Manipulative Therapy, veterinary dentistry, geriatrics, dermatology, and ultrasound.
She especially enjoys providing comfort care for animals.
Her professional affiliations include Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, College of Animal Chiropractors. and the Milwaukee-Veterinary Medical Association where she served as a board member.
She is Certification in Veterinary Spinal Manipulative Therapy, and holds a Certification in Animal Chiropractic by the College of Animal Chiropractors.
She has volunteered with the Wisconsin Humane Society, Pet Pal Therapy Program, and Veterinary Mission to Haiti to name a few.
