Dr. Krista Zeine
Dr. Krista Zeine

Dr. Zeien was born and raised in the Phoenix area, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from ASU in 2014, with a minor in chemistry. She then attended Colorado State University for veterinary school, graduating in 2018. Following graduation, she returned to her home state and began her veterinary career with Banfield. In her free time, Dr. Zeien enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as relaxing at home with video games and Netflix.

Dr. Jarred Forrest
Dr. Jarred Forrest

Dr. Forrest grew up in western Colorado where his family raised performance horses. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Colorado State University with a bachelor's degree in equine science and then went on to earn his DVM degree from CSU in 2011. After vet school, he worked at a mixed practice in central Nebraska for a year and half before moving to the valley. Dr. Forrest's professional interests include dentistry and preventive health for all pets and outside of work, he enjoys team roping, the occasional round of golf, and time with his son.

Dr. Manuel Bastarrachea
Dr. Manuel Bastarrachea

Dr. Bastarrachea is originally from Merida, Yucatan Mexico and graduated as a Medico Veterinario Zootecnista (MVZ) from the Autonomous University of Yucatan in 1992. He practiced in Mexico for about 4 years, working with small and large animals. Dr. Bastarrachea moved to the U.S. in 1996, thanks to his wife, Claudia, and signed up for the ECFVG (Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates) a few years later. After many adversities and years trying to complete the certification, he completed it in 2017. Dr. Bastarrachea has worked for Banfield since 1999 and feels that the company has been a great supporter of his career in the U.S. He loves to work with small animals, and has 3 beautiful dogs at home. Additionally, he loves sports and movies, and spending time with his wife and daughters, Jessica and Monica. Dr. Bastarrachea is truly thankful for the opportunity to work as a veterinarian in the U.S., and he is fluent in Spanish and English.

Dr. Amanda Hensen
Dr. Amanda Hensen

Dr. Hensen grew up in Colorado Springs where she was heavily involved in 4-H, an equine drill team, and rodeo queening. She graduated Magna cum Laude from Colorado State University with Bachelors of Science degrees with Honors in both Animal Science and Equine Science, and minors in Biomedical Science and Business Administration. She then completed her Veterinary Business Certificate with Honors and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Midwestern University in 2019, and decided to stay in the valley after graduation. Dr. Hensen’s professional interests include pathology and epidemiology, while she personally enjoys starting her colt and spending time with her husband and son. She also has three giant breed dogs and three cats of her own!
