Muhammad Athar, DVM
Muhammad Athar, DVM

Dr. Athar earned his DVM degree from Faculty of Veterinary Science, University of Agriculture, Pakistan in 1987. He completed his master�s in Small Animal Surgery in 1995 and doctorate degree in Preventive Medicine in 2007 from the same university. Thereafter, he moved to Canada and then the United States to further his career in veterinary medicine. He has been working with the Banfield Pet Hospital in north Virginia since April 2008. He enjoys performing soft tissue surgeries, internal medicine and dermatology. He has a family of six including his wife, two sons, daughter and cat. Dr. Athar is a good player of Cricket. He also enjoys reading books, exploring world attractions, spending time with his family and friends and outdoor cooking.

Margaret Baird, DVM
Margaret Baird, DVM

Dr. Baird studied veterinary medicine at the University of Glasgow in Scotland earning the equivalent of a DVM degree. Prior to that, she earned a Bachelor of Science in animal science and environmental science at the University of Connecticut. She has worked at Banfield Pet Hospital in Stafford since January 2012. Dr. Baird particularly enjoys all aspects of feline medicine and has an interest in complementary therapies. She is working toward certification in small animal acupuncture. In her spare time, she volunteers at a local shelter and with the Washington Humane Society's feral cat spay/neuter program. Dr. Baird has two cats named Juno and Skye. She is an avid athlete and enjoys playing a variety of sports, supporting the Nationals and Red Sox, and spending time outdoors.
