She received her undergraduate degree in molecular cellular biology from California State University San Marcos and her doctorate of veterinary medicine from Ross University. Dr. Welch worked in private practice for a year before joining Banfield Pet Hospital in 2013. Dr. Welch has a special interest in soft tissue surgery and dentistry. When she isn't working she can be spotted at the park or beach with her husband and son. Dr. Mark Witt was born and raised in a very small town in Southwestern Montana, but he does have some roots in southern California with family and friends in Orange County. Following high school, Mark received a Bachelor?s Degree from Montana State University followed by his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University in 2014. After veterinary school, Dr. Witt worked in private practice in Escondido, and joined the Banfield family 1 year later.
Dr. Witt?s professional interests include soft tissue surgery, ultrasound, and internal medicine.
Outside of work, Dr. Witt enjoys sunny San Diego with his wife, Jen (also a veterinarian working with Banfield) and their 3 cats (Puck, Spaz, and Rio) and dog (Mya). Outdoor activities are a favorite in the Witt family with camping, fishing, and beach time.
