Rajguru Kang, Chief of Staff
Rajguru Kang, Chief of Staff

Dr Rajguru Kang graduated from Punjab Agricultural University in 2005 in Punjab, India. Shortly after he got married and continued his studies in veterinary medicine. In 2006 he came to America and started gaining experience in the veterinary field in order to work towards his doctor of veterinary license. Dr Kang received his veterinary license in 2008 and started working at Banfield Pet Hospital.

In 2012 Dr Kang became the Chief of Staff of the San Jose Downtown location and he is also the mentor doctor for the South Bay Banfield Pet Hospitals. Dr Kang truly enjoys developing new doctors and guiding them in the right direction so that they can be successful in their new careers with Banfield. Dr Kang's special interests include soft tissue surgery and internal medicine. He strives to learn new or improved procedures in order to better the quality of medicine and care that he provides to his patients.

When he is not dedicating his time to his patients and staff, Dr Kang uses his free time to bond with his family. He currently resides in San Jose with his wife, twins, and a Malitpoo named Romy. Dr Kang also enjoys playing and watching sports or just having a good time with friends.

Behrouz Khashayar, Associate DVM
Behrouz Khashayar, Associate DVM

Dr. Khashayar earned his DVM degree from Shiraz University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996 in Iran.

After practicing veterinary medicine for couple of years, he moved to Canada to do a research on urinary tract infection in dogs at Ontario Veterinary College and after two years continuous study and research he received a master's degree in this field in 2010. As he
is always enthusiastic to provide a better care for the wellness needs of Pets, he participated in a one year postgraduate training program in dermatology in Ontario Veterinary Teaching Hospital with a emphasis on Otitis externa (ear infection) in dogs and cats.

He passed all required exams to obtain his veterinary license in North America in Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011 and has been working in general practice in the bay area since then.

California Veterinary Medical Association

His professional interests include cases involving dermatology and surgery of small animals. He especially enjoys connecting with clients on a shared mutual interest that is the human-animal
bond and the maintenance of health and wellness of their pets.

He lives in San Jose with his wife and son and when he's not practicing veterinary medicine, he enjoys traveling, listening to the music as well as hiking and swimming.

Cassidy Hui-Jung Yang, Associate DVM

I am passionate about preventative medicine and providing the highest quality of care for my patients. I am a graduate of Royal Veterinary College at University of London, United Kingdom. During my veterinary studies, I undertook a summer externship in Matthew J. Ryan Veterinary Hospital at University of Pennsylvania caring for critical patients. I was elected as Student Representative for our year and Student Advocate of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society. I have always been interested in biological sciences since I was a child. I obtained my Bachelors degree in Microbiology from University of California in Los Angeles and worked in cancer research at City of Hope National Medical Center prior to starting veterinary school. I have special interests in critical care, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and feline medicine. I love to give lots of TLC to pets in my care. In my spare time I enjoy travelling, hiking, horseback riding and spending time with my husband, our dog (Archie) and cat (Pepsi).

Dr. Suzanne Gross graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. She has special interests in internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. She strives to provide quality veterinary care for her patients and help further the human animal bond. She received her Bachelor's degree in Physiology and Neuroscience from the University of California, San Diego. She is excited to return home to California after four years in Minnesota. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, baking, reading, and watching movies.
