Dr. Fernandez started her veterinary career working in a small animal hospital in Oakland, CA while attending Mills College for undergraduate studies. After graduating with degrees in Biology and Computer Science, she continued to work and gained experience in the field. She left the U.S. and attended the Royal Veterinary College in the United Kingdom, graduating in 2016. She has worked at Banfield Pet Hospital since 2016. Her veterinary interests include soft tissue surgery, preventative medicine, dermatology, and ophthalmology. She enjoys working with gundogs and terriers.
Dr. Fernandez lives with her two Vizslas (Vivienne and Achilles). When not cuddling pets in the hospital, Dr. Fernandez enjoys training her dogs in obedience and agility, trips to the dog park, running, and watching the newest Marvel movie
Dr. Le-Nguyen graduated from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. He has worked for Banfield Pet Hospital since 2014 and treats our small animal companion pets, cats and dogs. Prior to joining the Banfield team & veterinary school; he worked as a registered veterinary technician while attending undergraduate at UC Davis. His medical and surgery interest include dentistry, soft tissue surgery & general medicine. He has strong interest in the sight hounds breed.
Dr. Le-Nguyen lives with his wife (Carol), younger sister (Michele), dogs (Sebastian - a miniature pinscher, Holle - a Chihuahua cross, Victor - an Italian Greyhound, & Mina - a Whippet). When Dr. Le-Nguyen is not enjoying the pleasure of being a veterinarian, him & his wife enjoys taking their fury babies to the dog park on play dates. Other leisurely activities include working out at the gym, cooking, eating, house renovation, watching tv shows/movies & having a cuddle fest with his wife & pets on his days off.
Dr. Rutan is a 1998 graduate of Iowa State University. She joined Banfield in 2004 and has been a Chief of Staff since 2005. Dr. Rutan enjoys mentoring new doctors, training staff and takes a special interest in emergency and critical care cases. Dr. Rutan resides in Roseville with her human family and two fuzzy kids Jack and Coal.read more
