Dr. Deanna Harris, DVM
Dr. Deanna Harris, DVM

I was born in Pittsburgh, PA. I graduated from the Ohio State Veterinary school in Columbus, Ohio. I moved to Charlotte in 2009 to start my career with Banfield. I became a veterinarian due to my great love for science and animals.
I come from a very large family and have family in a variety of occupations. I have one son and his interest is to practice law. I have a rat terrier, Sophie. She is very intelligent and easy to train. Sophie can be very bossy, very sensitive and she has many phobias, but she is always entertaining!

I love to go to the movies, travel and bake. I always enjoy spending time with family and friends and trying new things.

Dr. Rachel Goodknight, DVM
Dr. Rachel Goodknight, DVM

Dr. Rachel Goodknight is thrilled to be part of the Banfield of Highland Creek team! She has been part of the Banfield family since 2014 after being in private practice for four years. She hails from Vero Beach, Florida, but journeyed across the pond to Glasgow, Scotland for veterinary school, which was an incredible adventure!

Dr. Goodknight has special interests in the care of aged pets, preventive medicine, and soft tissue surgery. When she is not caring for four-legged family members, she loves hiking in NC's beautiful nature spots, experiencing Charlotte's plethora of restaurants, and whipping up new culinary concoctions. She also enjoys giving back to the community by going to elementary schools to foster excitement for the veterinary profession. Dr. Goodknight's family includes her young son and a mixed breed dog named Ori.

Dr. Goodknight adores caring for her canine and feline patients and is beyond ecstatic that she will never again have to insert her arm into another cow!
