Dr. Ramirez-Gorton earned a B.S. in Agriculture Animal Science from California Polytechnic University, Pomona in 2002. She attended Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2006. Dr. Ramirez practiced in California for 1 year prior to moving her entire family to the East coast and she has resided in Hampton Roads ever since. She joined the Banfield team in 2010 and is currently Chief of Staff at both the Newport News and Hampton locations. Her special interests include dentistry, dermatology, and internal medicine- endocrine. Dr. Ramirez especially enjoys mentoring students and doctors.
Her free time is hectic but fun with her husband, 3 children, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a pot-bellied pig named Ernie. Dr. Ramirez is an avid runner and enjoys the marathon distance the most. She can be found many weekends pounding the pavement or participating in local road races.
Dr. Bloxom is a graduate of Ross University Veterinary School. She has been practicing with Banfield since graduation in 2013. She recently moved back to Hampton Roads with her husband and two boys. They welcomed a little girl to their family this Spring. Dr. Bloxom has two dogs, Walter, who came from St. Kitts, and another rescue Bryce; and a cat Titan.
She loves spending time with her family and friends when not working. They enjoy hiking, swimming, riding horses, and playing with their children.
Dr. Shuping graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine after completing her undergraduate degree in Biology at North Carolina State University. She is interested in small animal medicine as well as aquatics, and holds a Certificate Degree in Aquatic Animal Medicine.
A native of North Carolina, Dr. Shuping recently moved to the Hampton Roads area where she enjoys exploring Virginia's historical sites and beaches. She spends her free time with her husband, and pets, Maverick and Lacey.
