Dr. Shantell Hassey
Dr. Shantell Hassey

Dr. Hassey is originally from southeastern Massashusetts. She Obtained her Bachelor degrees in biology, psychology and minored in chemistry at Regis College in Weston, MA. She went on to get her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Ross University, graduating in 2012. Dr. Hassey performed her clinical year at Cornell University. After graduation, she returned to Boston, Massachusetts and started working at Banfield Pet Hospital in Framingham in 2013. Her professional interests include internal medicine, radiology and cardiology. She has one dog, 12 year old cocker spaniel named Reese, and one 17 year old Balinese cat named Blue Collar. When not working Dr. Hassey enjoys spending time outdoors and with her 3 year old daughter and long term boyfriend at her house in Connecticut.

Dr. Courtney Codd
Dr. Courtney Codd

Dr. Codd is a Massachusetts native originally from Western Mass. She attended the University College Dublin in Ireland where she earned her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2014. Upon moving home from Ireland, Dr. Codd came to Banfield in Framingham where she has been with Banfield since 2014. Her interests include soft tissue surgeries (ie: mass removals, cystotomies, gastropexies), internal medicine, and providing quality preventive care to cats and dogs. She also has a soft spot for geriatric patients and enjoys working with their families to provide the care needed to help them maintain a good quality of life. When not working, Dr. Codd enjoys spending time with her husband and her two hounds, Tayto and Banshee. She also enjoys weight training, reading, and traveling.

Dr. Pamela Regante
Dr. Pamela Regante

Dr. Pamela Regante is originally from New Jersey but fell in love with Massachusetts earlier in life. Prior to veterinary school, she lived in Boston for 5 years and decided to return after graduating from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She has been with Banfield since 2013, primarily in Framingham but has worked at several other Banfield�s in the area. Her professional interests include feline medicine, pathology, and radiology. She has 3 cats of her own � Chloe, Dexter, and Schmoodles (ages 16, 5 and 10 years-old respectively). She also has a Sato dog named Pepperoni (2 years-old) who loves to torture her cats. Dr. Regante is an avid reader, enjoys spending time outdoors (kayaking, hiking, gardening) and loves to travel whenever possible.

Dr. Kara Kayala
Dr. Kara Kayala

Dr. Kayala graduated in 2016 from Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to veterinary school, Dr. Kayala completed her B.S. in biochemistry from Northeastern University and then traveled out to the west coast to complete her Ph.D. from the University of California, Irvine. Her dissertation research focused on the functions of the Alzheimer's-related protein presenilin. During veterinary school and since starting her career in veterinary medicine, Dr. Kayala has developed interests in preventive care, dermatology and internal medicine. In her time away from the hospital, Dr. Kayala enjoys relaxing with her husband, young sons, and two cats, Buttercup and Hops.
