Dr. Richard Trisotto
Dr. Richard Trisotto

Dr. Trisotto is the Chief of Staff at the Falls Church. He is from New Jersey, and has been with Banfield since 2010. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University and his veterinary degree from St. George's University. He's enjoying his life with his wife, Jessica, Butters his pitbull, and Harper their dog. In his free time, he enjoys playing goalie in ice hockey and soccer, cooking, fun runs, hiking, and traveling. He is also interested in computers and photography. His veterinary specialties are soft tissue surgery, orthopedics, pit bulls, and reptile and small mammal exotic medicine.

Dr. Michelle Lapera
Dr. Michelle Lapera

Dr. Lapera grew up in Rye, NY with a family who loved animals. She attended the University of Delaware and received a Bachelor of Science in animal science with a double concentration in pre-veterinary medicine and biotechnology and a minor in Biology. Dr. Lapera is a 2013 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. She then began working with Banfield Pet Hospital. Her professional interests include internal medicine, surgery, dermatology and emergency medicine. In her free time, Dr. Lapera enjoys traveling, hiking, camping, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Cynthia McElveen
Dr. Cynthia McElveen

Dr. Cynthia McElveen was born and raised in Wilmington, NC. She attended the University of Mary Washington where she earned her Bachelor of Science in biological sciences. Dr. McElveen joined the Falls Church location in 2005 as a veterinary assistant until 2007 when she went to Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine to pursue her own dream of being a veterinarian. She joined the Richmond, VA Banfield location in 2011 as an associate doctor, but soon found herself back in northern Virginia. During her off time, she enjoys hiking, going to concerts, watching movies and reading. She currently resides with her husband and two cats, Mack and Spike (a.k.a. Buddha).

Dr. Caitlyn Little
Dr. Caitlyn Little

Dr. Caitlyn Little grew up in Allentown, PA and always knew she wanted to work with animals. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Conservation Biology with a minor in Chemistry at Cedar Crest College. She then went on to complete a Master?s in Marine Science at the University of New England. Dr. Little is a 2017 graduate of the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. She has been working with Banfield since graduation. Her professional interests include surgery, exotic animals, canine conditioning and rehabilitation. In her free time, Dr. Little enjoys hiking, playing flyball, dock diving, traveling and reading with her fianc? and their two Border Collies, River and Cody.

Dr. Wai-Hong Wu
Dr. Wai-Hong Wu

Dr. Wai-Hong Wu graduated from veterinary school in Taiwan and later passed the Veterinary Skills Training and Enhancement Program (a joint venture of College of Veterinarians of Ontario, the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association and the Ontario Veterinary College of the University of Guelph, Canada) in 2014. Dr. Wu completed AVMA Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduate in 2017 and became eligible to practice veterinary medicine in the USA. Before obtaining his veterinary license, Dr. Wu worked as a research staff in research institutes and biotech company. Dr. Wu joined Banfield in 2017. He is married and lives with his wife and a Westie daughter, Joyce (dog). Dr. Wu enjoys practicing TaiChi, biking (indoor and outdoor), repairing electronic devices and installing bicycle components onto his mountain bikes.

Dr. Purushottam Narute

Dr. Narute received his degree in veterinary medicine from Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University, India and his masters degree from Indian Veterinary Research Institute, India. He then moved to United States and earned his PhD degree from University of Pittsburgh, PA. He joined Banfield Pet Hospital in 2017. Dr. Narute has interest in soft tissue surgery, dermatology, dentistry and internal medicine and he strongly believe in preventive pet health care. He lives with his family in Rockville, MD and enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with his family and friends.
