April Allen, DVM
April Allen, DVM

Dr. April Allen was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, where she developed her love for animals. She obtained her Bachelors of Animal Science at Tuskegee University in 2005 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. During the summers as a veterinary student, Dr. Allen worked at Banfield Pet Hospital as a student intern through their Summer Job Program. After graduation, Dr. Allen proceeded to continue her education at Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine as a small animal intern. Dr. Allen began her veterinary career with Banfield Pet Hospital in 2012, after a few years in private practice. Her veterinary interest is small animal soft tissue surgery. Outside of work, Dr. Allen likes to Zumba, go jogging and spending time with her husband and daughter. At home, they are greeted by their Giant Schnauzer, Apollo.

Monica Hill, DVM

Dr. Monica Hill was born in Texas, but has lived most of her life in Georgia. She left Augusta to attend Kennesaw State University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then attended the home of the Georgia Bulldawgs for her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Hill elected to pursue more training and was chosen for an internship at Friendship Hospital for Animals, the only specialty hospital in Washington, D.C. She began her career with Banfield Pet Hospital after completion of her internship. Dr. Hill's veterinary interests include endocrinology and gastrointestinal disease. At home, Dr. Hill is surrounded by her five furry felines. She enjoys traveling and exploring different cultures.

Jennifer Ponce, DVM

Dr. Jennifer Ponce was born and raised in Marietta, Georgia and has been with Banfield Pet Hospital since 2013. She graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2006 where she received her Bachelors in Biology Pre Veterinary Medicine. She then continued on to graduate from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine with honors in 2013. She is an active member of AVMA, and the national veterinary honors society Phi Zeta. Dr. Ponce is very interested in small animal soft tissue surgery and spends multiple hours volunteering at Cobb County Animal Control aiding in their spay and neuter program. Prior to being accepted into veterinary school, she was a cardiovascular dissector for human transplant services at Cryolife Inc. Outside the office, Dr. Ponce enjoys spending her spare time biking, stand up paddle boarding and hiking with her Great Dane Nicola. She is also greeted at home with her 3 loving cats Baci, Forza and Squirt.

Andrew Bellinger, DVM

Dr. Bellinger is a New York native earning his Bachelor's degree at Stony Brook University in Biology with a focus in Ecology and Evolution. He earned his DVM degree at St. George's University, completing his clinical year at the University of Georgia. Dr. Bellinger is currently practicing in Georgia, living with is mixed breed dog, Bella. He enjoys the outdoors, has a talent for cooking and has a hobby for video games during his free time.
