Dr. Kelley earned a Bachelor of Science degree from George Washington University while serving 21 years active duty in the United States Navy as a Deep Sea Diver. Following military service he completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Virginia Tech. He and his wife and 3 children live in rural Virginia Beach on a small horse farm with their 3 horses, 2 dogs and a cat named Batman. His professional interests include orthopedics and surgery. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Virginia Veterinary Medical Association.read more
Dr. Caryn McGrenra joined the Banfield team in June of 2015 shortly after graduation from Iowa State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. McGrenra is a Virginia Beach native who was excited with the opportunity to return home to pursue her career. She completed her undergraduate education at Virginia Tech where she obtained dual degrees in biology and wildlife science. Dr. McGrenra enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but has particular interests in internal medicine and brachycephalic breeds. Dr. McGrenra currently lives in Chesapeake with Norma, a rescue Pug, Gumbo, a Siamese mix, and Skittles, a chinchilla. In her spare time, Dr. McGrenra enjoys reading, running, spinning and spending time with her family.read more
Dr. Elizabeth Gonzalez received her bachelors of science Biology-Pre-Vet from Frostburg State University; she was accepted to Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and earned a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in January of 2015. Dr. Gonzalez holds other degrees Bachelors in English with minors in Creative Writing and Classical History as well as a Masters degree in Humanities - Literature. Dr. Gonzalez joined the Banfield team in 2016. She lives with her husband, an officer in the United States Army and their three cats -- Dr. Who, Rose, and Amy -- in Virginia Beach.
Dr. Gonzalez became certified "Fear Free" in 2016 and uses that training to keep the pets as happy and stress-free as possible while under her care. She also received Acupuncture Certification in 2018 to enable her to use multiple different methods to treat the animals in her care.
Jessica joined the Chesapeake Greenbrier team in August 2016 as Practice Manager and started with Banfield as a Veterinary Assistant in 2012. Prior to Veterinary Medicine she served as Military Police in the United States Navy. She and her husband share their home with 2 adopted cats (Arrow & Oliver), the prince of the house, Maverick (terrier mix), and princess of the house, Freya (English Mastiff).
