Dr. Amy Schuver
Dr. Amy Schuver

Dr. Schuver grew up in Charlotte, a graduate of East Mecklenburg High school, before moving to North Carolina State University to complete a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. She moved to Knoxville where she graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. Dr. Schuver practiced in Oklahoma on show and race horses as well as wildlife before returning to Charlotte to join Banfield in July of 2013. She loves living in her home town, close to family and friends with her four dogs - Bailey, Lucy, Penny, and Colonel Sanders. Dr. Schuver loves horses, live music, cycling, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Melissa Roemer
Dr. Melissa Roemer

Dr. Melissa Roemer grew up in Bath, OH and attended The Ohio State University for both her bachelor's degree in biochemistry and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Roemer graduated in May 2016 and relocated to Charlotte soon after accepting a position with Banfield. She has a special interest in internal medicine and nutrition. Melissa has a 3 ? year old Catahoula Leopard puppy named Rufus and a 6 month old mix breed named Wesson. In her spare time, she loves working out and being outside and active. She is a big sports fan and will always root on her home teams of the Buckeyes and Browns.

Dr. Charissa Killion
Dr. Charissa Killion

Dr. Killion grew up in a military family, living in Pekin, Illinois (her hometown) and then Jacksonville, NC and on to Rota, Spain. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in biology at Eureka College in Eureka, Illinois. She is a graduate of St George's University and completed her clinical training at LSU. Dr. Killion worked with a mobile veterinarian in Illinois for a few months after graduating before starting at Banfied in Charlotte in May of 2016. Family and friends, and of course her pets: 2 dogs, Berkeley and Nailah, a cat named Emilia and a snake, Salazar, are most important. Dr. Killion loves enjoying the year long outdoor life that comes with living in the south!
