Dr.Rebecca has been practicing for 1 year and 3 months. She joined the Banfield family just before Christmas of last year. She is a recent graduate of The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at the University of Edinburgh in Edinburgh, Scotland and is a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. She completed her externship in Oncology at the university as well. Dr.Rebecca also focused her studies on small animals and exotics and is looking forward to seeing your small mamals & reptiles.
At home she is constantly accompanied by Zephyr her very talented Keeshond puppy and her rat pack - literally Frank, Sammy & Dean. For hobbies she is currently training Zephyr in Agility when she isn't out on the road being shown in the conformation ring. Dr. Rebecca finds the most rewarding part of her job to be helping pets and their families stay together by keeping them healthy and helping when they aren't feeling well.
Dr.Gregory has been practicing for 2 1/2 years and initially joined our Banfield family in Houston, Texas. She is a fresh transplant to Seattle and would love to hear your tips on your favorite outdoor spots & activities. She also has two undergraduate degrees in Natural Resource Management & Biology and obtained her degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2012 from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. In her previous careers she worked as a veterinary technician and bird of prey rehabilitation specialist before becoming a veterinarian. She also holds a Falconry license.
Dr.Gregory is especially familiar with and interested in surgery and dental care and became a veterinarian because of her lifelong love of working with animals. She looks forward to partnering with you to improve the quality of your pet's life and will be working with our more senior doctors towards acupuncture certification and treating exotics, birds and small animals.
She has three wonderful, slightly spoiled cats at home. Outside of work she enjoys hiking, camping, mountain biking and international travel. Dr.Gregory has lived in the Caribbean for several years and has traveled to Japan, Thailand and Laos.
Dr. Stacie Smith graduated from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. She worked as an Equine veterinarian for 3 years before joining the Banfield family in 2010. Dr. Smith is the Chief of Staff of the Lynnwood and Capitol Hill locations, and enjoys coaching and training other doctors.
Dr. Smith recently completed an acupuncture certification course, and is excited to be integrating acupuncture into her general practice. She loves surgery and building lasting relationships with her clients and patients. Dr. Smith enjoys traveling, rock climbing, cycling and spending time with her sassy cat, Maggie.
Dr. DeGhetto was born and raised in northern New Jersey. She attended Seton Hall University, then moved to Colorado, where she graduated from the Veterinary school at Colorado State University. She completed an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at VCA in West Los Angeles, then spent several years doing field research on sea lions and fur seals in Alaska, Washington and California. After settling down in Washington, she worked at a mixed animal practice for a year, then moved to PAWS in Lynnwood to practice wildlife rehabilitation medicine and companion animal shelter medicine.
Dr. DeGhetto loves working with people and their beloved 4 legged family members. She has a special interest in gerontology and care of the aging pet, and exotic animal medicine. Dr. DeGhetto is also certified in Veterinary Acupuncture and plans to complete certification in Rehabilitation medicine. She lives in Seattle with her husband, 3 children (teenagers!), 3 small, adorable furry children and an 18 year old box turtle named Uguay.
My name is Piper Selmon and I am a 2015 graduate from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. I moved to Seattle in October after completing my clinical year of vet school at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO. Originally from San Francisco, I have also lived in San Diego, CA and Austin, TX before going to vet school on St Kitts in the Caribbean. As much as I enjoyed my time on the beach in warm weather, frequent visits to the Pacific Northwest over the past few years to see friends eventually caused me to fall in love with the area and the coffee! My two dogs, a Puggle and a Boston, seem to fit right in as well, and enjoy running around Green Lake and tagging along while I run errands in this pet friendly city. Travel is another passion of mine; I want to go everywhere! I had the fortunate experience to study in Europe, and have been to Australia, and Thailand as well. Next stop: Machu Picchu in Peru! I am proud to be joining the Banfield team, and look forward to being part of a community where the well being of our furry, four legged family is a priority.read more
