Dr. Jeri Gardner grew up in Springboro, Ohio. She attended the University of the South in Sewanee Tennessee where she earned a BS in biology and Pre Vet in 1994. Jeri received her DVM degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts, West Indies in 1998. Her clinical year was spent at the University of Minnesota in St. Paul doing large and small animal medicine and surgery.
After veterinary school, Dr. Gardner decided to concentrate on small animal medicine as an associate in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 2000, she and her husband, Jim, moved to Denver, and she has been with Banfield since that time. She was the charter owner of Banfield Arvada from 2002 until 2016, and she now works as an associate at the Arvada location.
Jeri enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but internal medicine, dermatology, and feline medicine are some of her special interests. Besides cats and dogs, Dr. Gardner also enjoys seeing pocket pets.
Some of Dr. Gardner's interests include tennis, mountain biking, skiing, hiking with her dogs and traveling with her family. Jeri also spends her time on the pta of Bergen Valley Schools as the VP of Operations. She now resides in Evergreen with her husband and daughters Averi and Ryn and her curly coated retriever, Mani and Golderaner, Harry.
Dr. Megan McCorkel grew up in a small town in central PA, where she
enjoyed horseback riding and playing sports. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Animal Science and Nutrition, with a minor in Equine Studies, from West Virginia University. Dr. McCorkel continued her education at Western University of Health Sciences, receiving her DVM. In addition, she has completed her acupuncture certification through One Health Sim (formerly known as Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarians at CSU). Her professional interests include lameness/sports medicine, surgery and acupuncture. In Megan's spare time, she enjoys running and hiking with her dogs Cami and June, heading to the mountains, or down to the beach.
Dr. Claire Vaiden graduated from University of Florida in 2014. Originally from Williamsburg, VA, Dr. Vaiden is a recent Colorado transplant and really enjoying the mountain life! Dr. Vaiden�s interests in veterinary medicine include internal medicine, cytology, and soft tissue surgery. Outside of work, Dr. Vaiden enjoys backcountry camping, college football (Go Gators!), and playing the ukulele. Dr. Vaiden shares her home with two spoiled mutts, Bailey and Eloise, a very needy cat named Dorian, and Buster, an Eastern Box Turtle.read more
Dr. Lawrence hails from the Northeast and grew up surrounding by the mountains and lakes of New Hampshire and the shores of Rhode Island. At her kindergarten dress up day, she borrowed her Dad's lab coat and stocked it with stuffed animals in the pockets. She was convinced even then that she was destined to a veterinarian. Dr. Lawrence graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College on Prince Edward Island in 2007. She has a special interest in dentistry, orthopedics, and dermatology. Dr. Lawrence treasures cultivating her relationship with clients over time as they both work together to keep pets happy and healthy! When she is not spending time at the clinic, Dr. Lawrence is joining her husband, daughter, and two dogs, Henry and Sookie, exploring the creeks and mountainsides. If she catches a moment of free time she can be found cycling with abandon or lifting weights at Crossfit.read more
I am 28 years old, originally from Littleton, Colorado. Attended Colorado State University, received B.S. and M.S. in Biomedical Science and Veterinary Medicine. Attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts and Nevis for three years, finishing my clinical year at Purdue University. I love outdoor activities including hiking, skiing, camping, and traveling. My main interests are in soft tissue surgery. I moved back to Colorado in 2015, and I currently live in Denver with the cutest golden retriever Harley.read more
