Ansede Animal Hospital is a small family run veterinary hospital dedicated to providing people with high quality medical primary care that is affordable for caring families. We pride ourselves in giving a personal connection instead of a cold, corporate atmosphere. We strive to provide the best care with experts in surgery and ultrasonography but also make quality care attainable for those of more modest means.
We are practical and do not use guilt as a method of client education. We want the best for all pets, but we also realize that not all pets have the same resources as others.
We look forward to hearing from you!
Also a proud member of the Pet Wellness Club
Dr. Frank Ansede received his BS in Biology from Fairfield University in 1991. He was awarded his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State University in 1995. The following year he completed an internal medicine and surgical internship with Red Bank Veterinary Referral Service, one of the premier specialty hospitals in the state of New Jersey. After working in general practice in New Jersey for another year, he and his wife Michele brought the family to North Carolina in 1997. He gained experience in corporate medicine working for a small veterinary corporation. He was soon promoted to Hospital Director of one of their clinics, in Monroe, NC.
After two years of corporate medicine, Dr. Ansede struck out on his own and started a Relief Veterinary Service. He provided high quality medical care to many hospitals in the Greater Charlotte and South Carolina areas.
Now he is excited to have the opportunity to serve the citizens of the Greater South Raleigh area and plans on being a compassionate contributor to the community for a long, long time.
Michele's love for animals dates back to her early childhood where she grew up showing goats and horses and eventually started exercising and training race horses and went on to become an English riding instructor.
She is a graduate of Centenary College of New Jersey where she majored in Equine Sciences. While working with horses she joined a small animal practice where she began her career in veterinary business management. Over a fourteen year period she has worked in several animal hospitals including specialty, emergency and equine practices. She and Dr. Frank were married in 1995 and began making plans to establish North Carolina as their home. Dr. Frank had developed a love of the South and Michele had spent a good part of her childhood summers in the Beaufort area of North Carolina where she has family.
Her life's pursuit has always been the care of her family and the dogs, cats and horses which live in the sanctuary she has created. The Ansede Animal Hospital represents a logical next step in the pursuit of her life's work. It enables the education of clients so they can make educated choices about their pets healthcare, lengthening their pets' lives and further enhancing the human-animal bond.
