Our team at Alpine View Veterinary Hospital is committed to providing compassionate, high quality veterinary care to our patients, with consistently kind, caring, and friendly customer service to their human companions. We have served the Snohomish, Monroe, and Woodinville areas for over 22 years and we are proud to say that we feel like your furry friends who are a part of your family have also become a part of ours! We are a full service companion animal hospital offering a wide range of comprehensive veterinary services such as wellness care, medicine, surgery, dentistry, radiology, full service boarding, laser therapy, and supplies. Our goal is to provide the best veterinary care along with a lot of love to all of our deserving patients, while also offering superior service to all of our amazing clients.
We are truly honored to serve you, our clients, who over the years have grown to become our friends!
Medicine-Alpine View offers comprehensive health care for both canines and felines. Our experienced, knowledgeable, and friendly veterinarians coupled with our caring support staff provide compassionate health care for all your pets needs. We provide wellness and supportive care, annual physical health exams, vaccinations, identification implantation, health certificates, and so much more. Our in-house laboratory enables us to perform our own complete blood testing, microscopic examinations, cytologies, bacteriology, and urine evaluations. Therefore, all critical cases receive the necessary tests results immediately, thus allowing us to begin the required treatment for each specific condition.
Surgery-Our highly skilled veterinarians combined with the surgical assistance of our experienced In-Patient Nurses perform a variety of surgeries. From routine spays, neuters, and de-claws, to major tumor removals, lacerations, fracture repairs, and extensive orthopedic surgeries. We pride ourselves in being able to offer our clients competent, personalized care, using modern technology, current surgical monitoring equipment, and up to date expertise.
Dentistry-Our professional dental cleanings are performed while the pets are under anesthesia. The dental cleanings are scheduled Monday through Friday and are performed by our Licensed Veterinary Technicians and In-Patient nurses together with our experienced veterinarians. Dental cleanings for animals are similar to those for humans including polishing, probing, charting, scaling, dental radiographs, and fluoride treatments. Oral care is as important for your pets as it is for you. Without proper dental care nearly 80% of dogs and 70% of cats shows signs or oral disease by the age of three.
Radiology & Pharmacology-Alpine View Veterinary Hospital is equipped with a complete radiology suite and full in house pharmacy. Therefore, radiographs can be taken, developed, and reviewed by our veterinarians within minutes. This provides us with the ability to evaluate, diagnose, and treat an existing medical condition during the pet’s initial veterinary visit. Our full in house pharmacy allows us to immediately begin treatment for pets in need, and enables us to prescribe and refill the various medications needed long term to treat various conditions or diseases.
Full Service Boarding-
Our team at Alpine View is very excited to be able to offer full service boarding to all our deserving patients! The fee for our canine visitors is $24.00 a day and for felines it’s $21.00 a day.
If pets are on medication the “Medical Boarding” charge is $26.00 for dogs, $23.00 for cats.
We walk all of our boarded dogs four times a day, and there is no charge for any of the walks (most facilities charge $5-$7 per walk). If requested you can schedule supervised play sessions with your dog in our fully fenced outdoor play area for an additional fee of $5 per play session. We admit and discharge pets for our boarding facility Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 and Saturday from 8:00-1:00. There’s no Sunday pick up or drop off. We request that clients bring in their pets regular diet to avoid stomach upset from a sudden diet change, this is particularly important if pets are on a prescription diet. For their safety and wellbeing all pets must be current on vaccines (including-Distemper Parvo, Rabies, and Bordetella for dogs and FVRCP, Feline Leukemia, and Rabies for cats). All vaccines should ideally be administered at least four weeks prior to their visit.
If any of our pet guests have fleas while staying at Alpine View they will automatically be treated with Advantage or Capstar (at the owners expense) in order to not contaminate other pets in the clinic.
Tours of our hospital and boarding facility can be scheduled Monday-Friday in the afternoon from 2:00-3:00pm. We book up quickly, specifically over holiday weekends, therefore, we recommend that you call to reserve your pets space as early as possible.
Supplies-Alpine View stocks a complete line of flea and tick preventatives such as Sentinel, Trifexis, Advantage, and Revolution. We also have everything for your pet’s dietary needs including Science Diet and ProPlan prescription and non prescription diets. Grooming products, ear cleansers, vitamins, supplements, oral care products, treats, and cat litter are also available.
Alpine View Veterinary Hospital, owned by Paul DeMaris D.V.M and wife Barb DeMaris has proudly served Snohomish, Monroe, and Woodinville communities since 1990. Upon commencement the small 600 square foot facility had only one veterinarian/owner and one additional employee. In 1993 Paul and Barb decided to remodel the clinic nearly doubling it’s square footage. However, as the years passed and the need for high quality pet care continued to grow, the once remodeled facility known as Alpine View Veterinary Clinic was removed and replaced with our new 5500 square foot hospital.
The modern facility consists of five spacious exam rooms and a large waiting area that boasts a beautiful view of the Cascades for all our waiting visitors. We have a full in-house pharmacy and in-house laboratory for on sight diagnostic testing and treatment. A large treatment area, special procedure suite, radiology suite, sterilization room, and our fully equipped surgery suite offers the space, equipment, and technology to care for all our patients needs. The additional space has allowed us to provide entirely separate cat and dog wards increasing the overall happiness of all our furry visitors. We have a separate isolation unit, nine large dog runs, and a fully fenced outdoor play area for our hospitalized or boarded patients.
Alpine View currently employs four experienced veterinarians and a knowledgeable support staff of twelve dedicated employees. Our entire team provides comprehensive and compassionate health care to all our deserving patients. We are honored to serve our clients who over the years have grown to become our friends. Here at Alpine view we realize that each pet and pet owner has different needs, therefore, treatment, wellness, and preventative care is tailored to the individual needs of each specific pet. We are proud to know that we can help make a difference in the lives of the patients we so love to treat.
Dr. Paul DeMaris grew up locally in Seattle, WA. Due to Pauls sincere passion for both animals and science he knew early on that he wanted to pursue a career in veterinary medicine! Therefore, as a teenager Paul worked diligently as both a kennel assistant and veterinary assistant at a local pet hospital. After graduating from high school he was excited and ready to head over to Washington State University to start working towards his ultimate dream in becoming a veterinarian.
After graduating from vet school in 1987 and working for just a few years in the veterinary field, Dr DeMaris knew he wanted to build his own practice, based on his own values. He wanted to be able to employ caring and compassionate staff that truly loved animals as much as he did! He also wanted to be able to offer high quality veterinary care to all of his patients, at reasonable and affordable costs to his clients. Therefore, in 1990 Dr DeMaris moved to Snohomish and purchased Alpine View Veterinary Hospital. We give patients the best available care in a family-like environment. My passion is to strengthen the patient and family bond. The greatest part of practice for me is how close my relationships become with my furry patients and their owners. states Paul.
When Dr. DeMaris is away from Alpine View, he and his wife Barb enjoy spending time with their four children. Eric and Liana are students at Washington State University and are both members of the Washington State Crew teams. Maddy and Will are busy high school students at Glacier Peak High School. Their family also has two spoiled and well-loved labs, Roxy and Zeke, who love to play fetch. A couple of funny, crazy kitties, Gus and Lucy, round out the DeMaris household. Dr DeMaris also enjoys playing basketball and hiking. He recently climbed Mount Baker, Mount St. Helens, and Mount Rainier
Dr. Rita Bauman has been at Alpine View since graduating from Washington State University in 1993. She has since become an absolute asset to Alpine View and our clients. Rita and her husband Steve have 2 children, Mathew and Amanda. They share their home with their cat, White Kitty, and their dog, Tug. Rita enjoys spending time with her family, homeschooling their children, and landscaping their property, a project Rita refers to as a never-ending work in progress. Rita has a particular interest in caring for puppies, kittens, and senior cats. She is regarded by both our staff and our clients as one of the kindest, most genuine people around, with an extremely warm and friendly heart!read more
Dr. Creslin Schultz graduated with honors from both Oregon State University and Washington State Universitys College of Medicine. She and her husband, Ryan, share their home in Snohomish with 2 dogs a hyper beagle named Lily, a loving pit bull mix named Kaya and 2 crazy cats named Mamba and Elton.
Prior to veterinary school, Creslin enjoyed travelling and living abroad in places such as Africa, Europe, Australia, South America and the Middle East. Prior to moving to Washington, Creslin lived in California and worked at a progressive small animal clinic in Davis. Dr. Schultz has a particular interest in behavioral medicine, dermatology, internal medicine, and geriatric care. She is devoted to providing both preventative care and disease treatment. Dr. Schultz is always sure to thoroughly explain various treatment options to owners and involve them in the decision making process.
When Dr. Schultz is not busy at Alpine View, she loves spending time with her husband and pets, hiking, horseback riding, gardening and cooking. She is also an avid long distance runner.
Dr. Blake Murphy was raised in Bothell and moved back after graduating from Washington State Universitys School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. Blake completed his undergraduate education with a degree in Zoology at the University of Washington. Dr. Murphy has always been interested in the field of veterinary medicine, as family pets were always a staple of his childhood and were considered special members of the family. He knew that a career in this field would be incredibly enjoyable and rewarding.
Since joining Alpine View, Dr. Murphy has developed a strong interest in internal medicine and orthopedics, but truly values the everyday experiences and relationships hes developed with his co-workers, clients and their pets. He is married to Jaclyn, a labor and delivery nurse, with whom he raises a son, Nolan, and is expecting a future addition due in December 2012. Dr. Murphy shares his home with 2 dogs, Cosby and Abby, and a cat named Rudihuxtable. When away from Alpine View, Blake enjoys working out, following University of Washington athletics, and cheering on his favorite football team the Seattle Seahawks!
