Academy Pet Hospital houses a state-of-the-art operating room, laboratory, dental radiography, and digital X-ray. In addition, each of our licensed veterinarians is passionate about animals and dedicated to providing your pet with the quality standard of care that you expect and your pet deserves.

Our goal is to provide a comfortable environment for both you and your pets. When you arrive your wait is short, the aroma is pleasant, and every attempt is made to allow your pet to feel secure and not afraid. We are dedicated to providing compassionate care for our patients and compassionate communication with their owners. Dr. Kathy Harris, Veterinarian

Dr. Harris graduated from Colorado State University and has been a veterinarian in Albuquerque for over 20 years. She truly enjoys spending her days with her animal patients and their owners. She does general small animal medicine and surgery and wants to manage your pets’ health care from infancy, into adulthood, and through their golden years. She is passionate about lifelong health and wellbeing of your animals!

Dr. Mary England

Dr. Mary England was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM. She pursued her doctorate of veterinary medicine at Iowa State University Veterinary College, where she graduated with the American Animal Hospital Association�s Student Achievement award, presented for outstanding clinical proficiency in small animal medicine and surgery.

Dr. England has a passion for small animal and exotic medicine and loves helping families provide care for their pets. While in practice, she has provided medical and surgical care in areas of emergency/critical care at Iowa Veterinary Specialties, and has practiced general medicine and surgery in both Iowa and New Mexico. She has pursued advanced training in areas of emergency medicine, surgery, ultrasound and small animal dentistry, while also continuously expanding her knowledge base and skill set through regular continuing education.

She and her husband live in Albuquerque with their three children and two dogs. She enjoys the diversity of Albuquerque, hiking in the Sandias, and spending time with her family and pets. Both she and her husband are veterinarians so her family is truly a pet loving family. She greatly understands the important role that pets play in all of our lives and enjoys helping pets and their families live healthy rewarding lives together. Whether your pet is in need of annual preventative care, long term management of chronic disease, or surgical treatment, Dr. England is here for you and your pet.
