At VCA Brookline Animal Hospital, we look forward to welcoming you, your dog, your cat, and other pets (including birds, hamsters, rabbits, and other exotic pets that do not need urgent or emergency care). We do wellness and preventative care as well as sick and emergency visits for dogs and cats. We accept emergency and "fit-in" appointments for your dog or cat should the doctor feel that your pet needs to be seen and we do not have any appointments slots available. Our caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable staff all share the same goal of providing you and your pets the best possible care and service available. We believe that building relationships with both clients and their pets is one of the most important parts of providing excellent care to all.

Our team of qualified veterinary technicians, client service oriented representatives, trained animal care/technician assistants, and top grade veterinarians offer a full range of services. Your pet will always be seen by an experienced, knowledgeable veterinarian who will provide a thorough examination, and ensure that your pet gets the best preventative medicine, as well as the latest veterinary medicines and procedures to help your pet recover from any discomfort or illness that may present itself.

Metro Cat Hospital is a full service feline veterinary hospital, exclusively for cats which has served the communities of Brookline, Brighton, Allston, Kenmore and Jamaica Plain for over 20 years. Our Specialty Veterinary Hospital provides top quality medical services, cat boarding, wellness exams, preventative care including vaccines, diagnostic services, spays, neuters, dental procedures, and advanced specialty services.

We place a strong emphasis on wellness care, diagnostics and health management. Our client support staff, veterinary technicians and kennel team are friendly, welcoming and experienced in the handling and medical care of cats. Want to manage your pet's health online? Dr. Jeffrey Kaplan, our Medical Director, is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners, the Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Animal Hospital Association. He offers morning and afternoon appointments Monday through Friday. He also performs dentistries, surgeries and sees cats in drop-off appointments on weekdays. We also offer appointments on Saturdays

Appointments are available six days a week, from 9:00 a.m. until the last appointment at 8:40 pm Monday through Thursday, 5:40pm on Friday and 3:40 pm on Saturdays. We share doctors with our sister hospital VCA South Shore (Weymouth) in Weymouth, Massachusetts, which is a 24-hour emergency facility with very flexible scheduling.
