Dr. Pettyjohn was born and raised on a farm in Southwest Kansas. She graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine and moved to DesMoines, Iowa where she worked in an equine referral hospital. This led her to an equine referral hospital in Virginia and then to Texas. Dr. Pettyjohn and her husband moved to Montgomery County in 2008 and are happy to call it their home now. They have 2 children, 2 dogs, 1 cat, and cattle. She enjoys her family time, fishing, gardening, and traveling.
