Dr. Hufnagel was born in Okarche, OK in 1965 and was raised on cattle ranches in North Dakota and Oklahoma. After graduating from high school, he relocated to Stillwater, OK where he attended Oklahoma State University receiving his BS degree in 1988 and graduating with his DVM in 1991.
From 1991 to 2001, Dr. Hufnagel worked in a mixed animal practice in Minot, ND. In 2001 he moved to San Antonio where he worked for 3 years in a Small Animal Practice, and with Pfizer Animal Health in their U.S. Drug Safety division. In 2004 he moved to Oklahoma City, where he provided veterinary relief services for 2 1/2 years. In January 2007 Dr. Hufnagel purchased Westbrook Animal Clinic.
Dr. Hufnagel has been married to his wife LeAnn for 4 years. They have two daughters, Mary Katherine and Elizabeth and a son, John. His interests include family, church and community, reading, history, hiking and biking. His family also includes Grace (3 year old Shephard Mix), Maggie (2yr old Spaniel Mix), Angus (6 year old black Domestic Shorthair cat) and Mongo (6 year old orange Domestic Medium Hair cat).
Dr. Joe Stratton has been part of the Westbrook team since June 25, 2007, and is usually in the office on Mondays. Born in Siloam springs, Arkansas, he graduated from OSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. Dr. Stratton comes from a family of veterinarians: father is a 1955 DVM graduate and is now retired as Director of the Veterinary Medicine in general practice in and around OKC since 1987, with the exception of the last 4 years, which were exclusively in emergency medicine. He has recently returned to general practice. He is currently taking care of 2 geriatric dogs, 3 overweight cats, 1 overweight, geriatric horse, 87 black-belly, Barbadose sheep, and numerous stray possums and raccoons, on his acreage north of Piedmont.
Dr Pribil grew up on a farm/ranch near Hennessey Ok. He attended Oklahoma State University for his undergraduate study then attended OSU college of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Pribil received his doctorate degree in 1984 and began practice in the Dallas/Frisco Texas area. He was in a group practice that did mainly equine and small animal medicine, surgery and reproduction.
After 5 years his wife and he had their first children, twin boys, Eric and Trenton. They arrived 7 weeks early and were in the hospital for 43 long days before they got to come home. During the next few difficult months they realized that being close to friends and family would be very important to their young family so they made a move back to Oklahoma and have been in the Edmond area for the past 19 years. Dr. Pribil joined Animal Medical Clinic in 1992 and became the sole owner of the practice in 2000.
His time away from the office is spent with his family Carey, Trent and Eric. They enjoy many outdoor sports including hiking, camping, fishing, shooting sports, and skiing. Even though Eric and Trent are now in college they still get together as often as possible.
He has 1 pet at the present. A laid-back domestic shorthair cat named Lucy.
