You will receive one-stop convenience and faster results due to our on-site laboratory, digital x-ray and other state-of-the-art equipment that allows us to perform most diagnostic testing in-house. We are linked to outside medical specialists to provide additional opinions on blood, urine, pathology and x-rays if needed.
We provide comprehensive physical examinations, treatment, vaccinations, dental care, spay, neuter and soft tissue surgery, ultrasound, allergy testing, dermatology, and arthritis and pain management. We want your pet to be comfortable when visiting us, so we provide separate areas for dogs and cats.
We can fill prescriptions from an extensive in-house pharmacy and offer several flea, tick and heart worm prevention alternatives plus a variety of prescription wet and dry diets.

Dr. Jessica Nicole Rivera, DVM, MS
Dr. Rivera attended Wharton County Junior College for two years where she was the sole recipient of a biology award for outstanding achievement. She earned Bachelor and Masters degrees in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University and is a graduate of Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine.
While attending Texas A&M University she earned recognition on the National Deans List during her undergraduate, graduate, and professional studies and received a Distinguished Student Certificate from the College of Veterinary Medicine. She was Team Leader for a cardiovascular physiology research project under the DeBakey Research Program. Dr. Rivera was featured in the College of Veterinary Medicine Today Magazine detailing her accomplishments during her college career.
Dr. Rivera shadowed doctors and performed volunteer and community service work in various locations while studying to become a veterinarian. She completed her requisite externships at the Texas Equine Hospital in Bryan TX and at Beard Navasota Veterinary Hospital in Navasota TX.
Dr. Rivera's career began in Katy TX where she was employed in a well-established animal hospital with very high volume and has performed relief work in hospitals in Richmond TX, Houston TX and Katy TX. She comes well prepared to serve the community of Missouri City TX as the owner of The WellPet Center of Sienna Plantation.
Her love for animals and problem solving cases remains her passion and she continues to receive very positive feedback from those she has served. She acknowledges being blessed to do what she has always wanted to do - to be a veterinarian.
Dr. Rivera enjoys running with her 12-year-old Jack Russell Rat Terrier mix Zoey, salt-water fishing, movies, the arts, and spending time with family and friends. Her husband Victor Manual Porras Jr., is a Defense Attorney and practices in Fort Bend, Montgomery and Harris County. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University and University of Houston Law Center. They are both active in their church.
