Cameron Schmitt, DVM, MS
Dr. Schmitt joined the Pipestone Veterinary Clinic in 2002 after graduating from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Schmitt's areas of interest include swine disease, diagnostics and laboratory testing. He also enjoys hunting and fishing and cheering for the I.S.U. Cyclones.
Douglas Peterschmidt, DVM
Dr. Peterschmidt has lived and practiced in Indpenedence for nearly 30 years. In 2008 he joined the Pipestone Veterinary Clinic of Iowa and continues to practice small animal medicine. In his time off you can find him skiing down the slopes or hiking up the mountains in Colorado. He and wife Ann have two grown children, Jennifer and Rob.
Dr. Bryan Myers, DVM
Dr. Myers attended the University of Nebraska and graduated from Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. Dr. Myers was in a mixed animal practice in northeast Iowa for 20 years before joining the Pipestone Veterinary Clinic in 2008. His primary area of interest is swine production.
Ann Eike, DVM
Dr. Ann Eike of Pipestone Veterinary Clinic of Iowa loves the outdoors and animals. She has two horses, eight cats, and a Saint Bernard dog. Her passions carry through to her work in our practice where she has a deep care and compassion for the companion animal cases. This Illinois farmer’s daughter earned her B.S. from Western Illinois University and a DVM from the University of Illinois. Dr. Emme joined the Clinic in 2009.
Our caring veterinary assistants are what makes us special and Ranee is one of the best. She is dedicated to showing compassion to all our patients and makes it her personal goal to connect with the pet owner. Ranee joined Pipestone when it opened in 2008. Outside of the clinic, Ranee enjoys movies, reading, and her seven children!
Krista Drees, RVT
Krista, our Veterinary Technician, grew up on a farm in Jesup, Iowa and has always had a love of animals. She graduated from Kirkwood Community college in 2008 and she has been with us since 2009. Krista enjoys time with her family, which includes her husband and two children, Zach and Abby.
Bailey, originally from Waterloo, has always had an interest in animals ranging from wildlife to farm animals to pets. She is a 2004 graduate from Hawkeye Community College with a degree in Animal Science. She enjoys spending time with her two girls, Adrie and Emma, and husband Travis. Bailey has been with Pipestone since we opened in 2008 and is also our office manager.
Our spit fire, Tonya, keeps busy in numerous areas of our clinic, and always keeps a smile on her face. Among many other areas she leads our kennel team and grooms. An Independence native, Tonya's passionate about rescuing otherwise discarded animals. She joined Pipestone in 2009.
Kim, our accountant, has been with Pipestone for 14 years. She is originally from Minnesota, graduated from U of WI, River Falls with a Broad Area Agriculture degree. She and her family moved to Iowa when the Pipestone Veterinary Clinic of Iowa opened in 2008. Kim enjoys kayaking with her family, vacationing in Michigan and of course her three dogs; Bella, Emma, and Daisy and cat Mister.
You will see Heather's smiling, friendly face at our customer service desk when you enter our clinic. She joined our team in May 2011. Originally from Independence, she graduated from Kirkwood Community College with a degree in Veterinary Assisting in 2006. She enjoys photographing pets & people and raising her sheep flock.
Wendy is our resident earth enthusiast. While working to make our planet a better place, she also enjoys researching wildlife habits. Her caring nature shines through while assisting our veterinarians. She has been with us since 2008. Wendy's family includes her husband, Terry, and two growing girls, Nicole and Sara.
