Your pet can stay with us for the day at no extra charge to you, and be given its annual exam, vaccines, medical diagnosis and treatment or whatever the need may be. You can feel confident that your pet will receive the best of care and will rest comfortably in a clean environment with a "soft blanket".

Glenn P. Ephraim, D.V.M., Practice Owner
Growing up in rural Connecticut, I decided by age 7 that I wanted to be a veterinarian. It seemed to be the only career choice which made sense since I was always bringing home injured animals to "doctor them up". So I combined my two main interests, animals and medicine. Fortunately, with the aid of supportive parents, I was able to pursue my goal and graduated from the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. After graduation, I came to Chicago and have worked at this hospital ever since. In September, 1996, I became the owner here at Oakton Animal Hospital. I am fortunate to have a wonderful, caring, well-trained staff and we hope to provide you with the kind of high-quality, personable, family practice you and your pets have been looking for and deserve.

Dr. Ann Brooks, D.V.M.
I grew up in Missouri on a family grain farm. I started working at a local veterinary clinic at 14 years of age to earn a Girl Scout service badge which started a life long association with Veterinary Medicine. I graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. After graduation, I pursued an Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at the University of Illinois. I moved to the Chicagoland area in 1990 and have worked in this area since that time. I have a special interest in surgery. I am fortunate to have been associated with excellent clinics and wonderful, caring, loving clients and their pets. My most sincere goal would be to provide you and your pet with the highest quality of compassionate, knowledgeable and personal care.
