In addition to our services we do disc surgery and invasive orthopedic surgery.

We also have a surgical x-ray machine, CO2 Lasers for surgery, and an i-therm, which treats arthritic, cancer, and infections.

Dr. Pressely
Dr. Pressely

Dr. Karen is a 2012 graduate of Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. She has been at Mineral Wells Animal Clinic since May 2012. She is married to Zach Pressley and they have one dog and two cockatiels. Before going to veterinary school, Dr. Karen reveieved her BS from Murray State University and worked as a technician at mwac during that time. She enjoys working with a variety of animals and working together with owners to provide the best care possible for each pet.

Dr. Samantha Edwards
Dr. Samantha Edwards

Dr. Edwards is a 2002 graduate of the University Of Tennessee College Of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to attending UT Knoxville Dr. Sam received a Bachelor Degree in Veterinary Technology in 1999 from Lincoln Memorial University. Before coming to west Tennessee Dr. Sam and her husband Dr. Chad both worked at a primarily dairy practice in Shippensburg, PA. Dr. Sam worked at mwac from Sept 2003-2006, and then took a veterinarian position in Dover TN before coming back to mwac in September 2008 as a partner. Growing up with various pets and farm animals helped her to develop a love for animals and the science of veterinary medicine. She has a little boy named Cole born January 1, 2007. She has several four legged children as well, Bailey, Lady Bug and Cricket. She also enjoys hiking, biking, cooking, gardening and sports. Solving challenging cases, soft tissue surgery, and seeing a happy patient and client are the favorite parts of the job.

Dr. Chuck Lyons
Dr. Chuck Lyons

Dr. Lyons is a 1980 graduate of the University Of Tennessee College Of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Lyons founded mwac in 1983, and is currently a partner. The diversity of conditions that are presented for treatment and surgery are two of the reasons he chose veterinary medicine. He enjoys water skiing, snow skiing, raising cattle, boating, hunting and fishing. Dr. Lyons is very active in the community and enjoys helping local youth with ffa and 4-H animal science projects. He is also active in the Romanolia association. Dr. Lyons just finished a term with the State of Tennessee Veterinary Board. Dr. Lyons has several children, Holly and JD Mixon, Wesley Lyons, Justin and Cody Chilcutt. Orthopedic surgery, embryo transfer, and tracheal stents are all favorite parts of his job.

Dr. Chad Edwards
Dr. Chad Edwards

Dr. Chad is a 2002 graduate of the University of Tennessee College Of Veterinary Medicine, prior to attending UT Dr. Chad attended Tennessee Technological University. Dr. Chad became a partner at mwac in September 2008. Dr. Chad was torn between the profession of engineering or veterinary medicine, he chose veterinary medicine because of the diversity and challenges that change on a daily basis. He has one son with wife Dr. Sam and several pets. They attend church at Point Pleasant Baptist Church, where he is a deacon. Dr. Chad is an avid sports fan; especially UT Vols. His favorite part of being a veterinarian is working outdoors, meeting new people, and helping people with the care of their pets.
