Craig Kryger, DVM
Dr. Kryger has been the Chief of Staff at the Hermitage Veterinary Hospital since March 2008. He grew up in Long Island, New York, and currently resides here in Hermitage, Pennsylvania. He attended the State University at Albany as an undergraduate and received his DVM degree from University College Dublin, Ireland in 1997. Before joining us at Hermitage Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Kryger has practiced in both Pennsylvania and Ohio. He is a board member of the Mercer County Humane Society and a supporter of local rescue organizations and fundraiser events. We feel so lucky to have such an outstanding and experienced Chief of Staff providing compassionate care to our beloved patients here at the Hermitage Veterinary Hospital!
Dr. Kryger has special interest in soft tissue surgery, urinary tract disease, and external and middle ear disease. He is also certified in laser surgery. He truly believes in delivering the best possible care for his clients and their pets. Outside of work, he is a car and motorcycle enthusiast. He enjoys attending local car shows and events, horseback riding, and trail riding. He also values spending his free time with his family and many pets including 6 dogs, 3 cats, 3 horses, and 3 ducks!
Julie Hunt, DVM
Dr. Hunt has been part of the Hermitage Veterinary Hospital team since late September 2008. Growing up in northern Ohio, she now happily resides in West Middlesex, Pennsylvania. She received her undergraduate degree from Alfred University in 2003 and undertook her veterinary studies at Michigan State University, earning her DVM in 2007. Prior to joining us, she spent a year practicing at a veterinary hospital in Darlington, Pennsylvania where she treated both small animals and horses, and practiced emergency medicine. She enjoys establishing close relationships with her clients and their pets.
Dr. Hunt has special interest in general surgery, emergency medicine and critical care. Her interests outside of work include riding her 3 year old horse Irish (who she events at shows in both Ohio and PA), playing the piano and harp, running, reading, and traveling in the US and abroad. She enjoys making medical mission trips to Africa! Dr. Hunt’s other four legged family members include a Persian cat named Opal and a mixed breed kitty named Kermit.
