She completed an equine internship at Loomis Basin Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Stein has been with Banfield since May 2011. She has 3 dogs named Blue, Callie and Badger; 3 cats named Miles, Pinot, and Kayla; 3 fish and 1 horse named Joe. Dr. Stein's husband, Dr. Justin Uhl works as a Small Animal Surgeon for the University of Minnesota. Dr. Nordaune joined the Banfield team in 2014. He recently graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to Veterinary school, he attended the University of Saint Thomas and attained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Business. He enjoys the team atmosphere that working at Banfield offers in providing the highest level of healthcare to each client's pet. When Dr. Nordaune is not in the hospital, it's a safe to assume he's outside hiking, fishing or golfing. He enjoys his active home life with his loving wife, three dogs, and two cats.
Dr. John Flaagan
Dr. Flaagan is a 2000 graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. His undergraduate training was primarily in Genetics and Cell Biology. He has 14 years experience as a veterinarian. Most of those years are as a general practice veterinarian in the Twin Cities. Five years of his experience as a veterinarian is in a toxicology call center/poison control center. Dr. Flaagan followed my brother into veterinary medicine. He is also a graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. In addition, his family has an agricultural background. He spent a lot of time growing up on the farm in northern Minnesota where members of his family still farm. His wife and him currently live in the Como Park area with three Boston Terriers (Doug, Josh, and Daisy).
