Dr. Kathryn Craven
Dr. Craven has been a practicing veterinarian with Banfield the Pet Hospital since 2008. She earned her undergraduate degree from Xavier University and then pursued her veterinary degree at an American Approved Veterinary University in Glasgow, Scotland. While abroad Dr. Craven spent time in Australian, rehabilitating Koala bears at the Australia Zoo and Wildlife Hospital. She also volunteered her time with the Phuket Animal Welfare Society in Thailand spaying and neutering homeless pets. Upon graduation from vet school, Dr. Craven moved home to Northern Kentucky and now divides her time between the Banfield Hospital in Florence, Kentucky and the Banfield Hospital in Hyde Park, Ohio. Dr. Craven is very passionate about helping pets� live long happy lives with their families.
Andrea Nieman, DVM
Dr. Nieman earned her bachelor's degree in biology from Western Kentucky University in 2005, and she earned her doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn in 2009. During her summers in veterinary school, Dr. Nieman worked for Banfield as a Student Ambassador learning about the importance of preventive care. Upon graduation, Dr. Nieman moved back home to be closer to family and joined the Florence team in April 2010. While in practice, Dr. Nieman enjoys connecting with clients and helping her fellow colleagues learn and grow. Her primary interests in veterinary medicine are nutrition and orthopedic issues. She loves educating her clients on how to read nutrition labels and finding the right food that addresses pets� needs. Dr. Nieman's passions outside of work include yearly mission trips to Mexico for spay and neuter clinics, horseback riding and spending time with family, friends, her Staffordshire Terrier mix "Carly" and Tibetan Spaniel mix "Dallas."
Dr. Brinkman was born and raised in Northern Kentucky and attended St. Henry through high school. She earned her bachelor's degree in Biology and Marine Science from Coastal Carolina University in 2005. She worked at Florence Banfield as a PetNurse before attending Auburn University and earning her doctorate of veterinary medicine in 2010. She completed a small animal internship in Chicago before returning home and becoming a veterinarian at Florence Banfield in July of 2011. Her primary interests in veterinary medicine include internal medicine and oncology. Outside of work she enjoys traveling and spending time with her friends and family, including her husband, Brian, and two dogs, Brody and Charlie.
Dr. Jennifer Hunter
Dr. Hunter grew up in the nky area before pursuing her dream to become a veterinarian. She received her Bachelor's in Science in Agriculture at Murray State University in Murray, KY where she also competed on the university�s Equestrian Team. She then went on to obtain her doctorate in veterinary medicine at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. Immediately following graduation, she spent her first year as an intern at Tryon Equine Hospital, an equine referral hospital located in the foothills of Columbus, NC. After completing her internship, she moved back home to be near family at which point she ran into her friend Dr. Andrea Nieman who suggested that she apply for a position at Banfield. Dr. Hunter has worked at the Florence and Hyde Park Banfield since January 2013. In her spare time, she likes to spend time outdoors and hike with her dog Matilda.
